Signing in from the Golan Heights! Moved here from California and bought a new XT660Z Yammie in Haifa, last year.

Mt. Hermon (it does actually get pretty cold up here 5 months out of the year, and over the last two years there has been snow on the Hermon through the middle of May!)

    Welcome MadMAX!

Next month, 14-15 June, a group of 20 riders planing to ride in your area. You welcome to join us.

How the XT660z compare to the beast you had in California ? KTM 950 SE?

It's so sad that you couldn't bring him to holy land :cry.

Hello everyone. My name is Alon and I am an Israeli living in Toronto, Canada. I am hoping to visit Israel this summer and if yes, I'd like to find a bike to rent and ride some of the country - I'll need to figure out how much time I can sped away from my wife and kids for a ride while they stay with my family in Israel - looking forward to meeting you guys soon.

Alon - I'm in a similar boat and would love to know if you hear anything. My girlfriend and I will be in Tel Aviv for the first two weeks of July, and I'm looking to rent something for a couple of days.

I looked here but it hasn't been updated in 18 months:

If anyone has rental recommendations, I'd greatly appreciate it. I've been riding a 1150GS for years - I don't need a big bike, I'm just something bigger than a scooter if possible.

Not interested in a scooter - no trail / off road capability. Ideally, I'd like a Yamaha 660 Tenere...

    Hi guys,

Here some links to rental companies:

    http://www.leasingcycle.co.il/viewStaticPage.aspx?pageID=21

    http://www.motogo.co.il/?page_id=9&lang=he

I think the best for you is to rent 250cc scooters, because large bike and scooters is very expensive, over 150$ per day.[/QUOTE]

    Hello Ivan!

I posted your question at some Israeli bikers forums, the most detailed answer i got was:

There is a ferry from Tasucu (Turkey) to Girne (Northern Cyprus).
Ride aross the border to Southern Cypruss, then take the ferry from Limassol to Haifa, going twice a week.

That's the info they wrote me (never tried it myself, maybe one day.... :freaky)
