Ciao a tutti!
I'm John from greece....!
I could use some help here.....http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=662753
gia'... e comunque www.transalp.it o direttamente www.fogriders.altervista.org
I'm Paolo (Pablito for riders) and I'm come from a city closed to Venice.
Here during my last Tunisia tour, in september 2010.
Hi everyone from Bora-land.....
Hi, Im Jim - Does half-italian count ? My father was from Pratola Pelina - beautiful place and wonderful roads to ride in the area.
What a "brutto Ceffo "!!!
Hi everyone, here is Alessio from Alessandria, North Italy.
There's much riders from Piemonte i see.
This summer I'll be making a trip down to Greece from the Netherlands (planning thread and site are in my sig), and on my way down (and back up!) I'll be crossing your beautiful country, entering it on the 22nd of July before leaving to Greece on the 28th. On my way back up, I'll enter Italy again for 2 days, somewhere around the 12th of August.
I was wondering whether any of you had some tips on riding through - I've already put Milan, Lucca, Florence, Rome, Sulmona, Pompeii and Venice down, but maybe some of you have got things to add?
Also, if any of you want to meet up somewhere along the way, that would be even more awesome I'm always looking for new places to stay, so feel free to add
Let me hear ya!
I've seen your road maps, for the back up i think it's better, and less expensive, come back from the Balcans, the roads and the cities on the Croatian coast are great.
For the way down, you wanna only see our cities or even ride in beautiful places?
In the second case, i'll tell you take the italian map and track all the roads that cut the Appenninis (between Tuscany and Romagna there are very beautiful road mountain passes), or touch natural parks, especially the park of Monti Sibillini, the Gran Sasso park and the Majella park.
The cities are just there as a framework... how to get there is at least as important to me! Thanks for your suggestions
At the position N43.99795 E11.66721 (placed on Google maps), between Marradi and San Benedetto in Alpe,
after having crossed the border beteen Toscana and Emilia-Romagna, we found this huge key.
It is "chained" with to a rock.
Any idea of why it is there?
Is there much off road racing in Italy? Not MX, but enduro stuff. Like ISDE. My wife and I are thinking about relocating. I'm looking for somewhere where the weather's warm, food is good, and plenty of places to ride off road.
I think that Sardinia is your ideal place. Or maybe Sicily.

Ciao from Vicenza. Are there any sport touring riders around Vicenza or Veneto at least? I would love to meet a few riding friends.
