    Hello Guys

    One quick Question

When we use a sock/prefilter on the ITG airfilter do we also oil the prefilter? or we do not oil the basic airfilter and we only oil the prefilter ?

It might be stupid but i cannot find any related link in the net

    Thank you

Well, I always oil both the main filter, and the prefilter. It's the oil that does the filtering, there doesn't seem to be a good reason to buy a prefilter if you don't let it do it's job.

I oil both and use the thicker pre filter all the time.

I’ve done it both ways. However, being in the desert I prefer to oil both.

I hear you can use chickenwire mesh so long as you oil it well...
NoToil has pretty solid oil and oil remover, huge fan of their products.

imo a foam filter with no oil is useless and so a prefilter.
Oil what you use or don't use it

Always oil the main filter no matter what.

I use the thicker black coarse pre filter and only oil it with spray oil but only on the inside and massage it a bit. That way it doesn't get too messy as it rubs against the frame, seat etc.
