Your perseverance paid off. Good job on completing the TAT
Thank You and few more days to report .
Day 9 Lakeview OR to Shady Cove OR
The day started in a slow pace and kind of disappointing . I was expecting TAT scenery to be awesome on this parts but it turned out to be kind of boring . After a good 40 miles of the same fire roads we had enough and bailed on it . To raise the level of excitement at full capacity and not just take the highway we took a detour to Crater Lake National Park , that by the way is AWESOME !
Discovering USA on a 3 HP ! http://wagonteamster.com/
Unfortunately it flu into my helmet and died instantly . I am a bird killer !
Day 10 Shady Cove OR to Port Ordford OR
With sadness this day was the last one on TAT . For the most part we had a good day until we got lost and the road turned out to go nowhere . Got slapped in the head by a branch and lost control of the bike that almost went down the cliff . Luckily the weight of the bike , the luggage and my quick judgement stooped a disaster . No harm done and we were back on the road in no time . The nature is great around here and the closer you get to the ocean the better it looks . Made it to Port Ordford by 6 pm with big smiles on our faces and had dinner on the dock in a very small restaurant , about 7 tables .
What a trip this was and after a 5 long years I am finally at the end . I am very proud of myself and now looking for the next big trip , maybe Alaska or Mexico !
Now it's time to return home and this was another adventure as we avoided all major highways and took secondary roads to few National Parks . Stay tuned for next replays !
It was only 150 feet deep !
And a Dead End !
Getting closer to The Pacific !
Apparently there is fiber optics in the middle of nowhere and need it to be fixed as the whole road collapsed .
And we have made it !!!!!!
Great ride. I'll join next time. Hion:)
Great job on finishing the TAT Cat. My dad and I have talked about doing the CDT so maybe we have another ride in our future. We'll see. Good luck out there and be safe.
and you will !
In part , you had a big role in this along with your dad ! By letting me join your TAT quest five years ago it pretty much started the whole adventure . Therefore I Thank You once more and maybe I'll do CDT again just so we can have a little more fun . Say Hello to Jerry and Ride Safely !
True adventurers and flat changing pros. Nice job.
Hey are you from Transylvania?
I enjoyed your report. Thanks for sharing!
Indeed I am but not a vampire !
Thank You and will have a little more of the story to tell , hopefully this weekend .
Thank You !
Ha! I remember you. Met you in Chicago!
Thanks so much for sharing all your hard work and fun. The pictures of your eyes in the resturant reflect the enormous pride and satisfaction that was felt. Well done.
Nice trip report, congratulations!
And just realized that I have never finished this RR , that is one year later . Well , what can I say . The trip was a blast less the returning home part . We rode trough Redwoods NP , Lassen Volcanic NP and The Loneliest Highway in US - Highway 50 .
