La moto está en el campamento. En de unas horas los mecánicos comenzarán a trabajar en ella para tenerla lista. El @dakar se siente te y se palpita con mayor intensidad.

Looks like Laurent Lazard isn't a malle moto peasant?

    Why, not?
Before they put the bike in parc ferme, after scrutineering and go to the start, he and others can do on the bike, what they want.

But we must keep a eye on him, walking away from the Malle Moto zone, if he got his leashed friend with him.

Interesting scuttlebutt on the Gonc question.
Ignacio "Nacho" Cornejo Iquiqueno are already in Lima and could be part of nothing more and no less a colleague of Joan Barreda, Kevin Benavides among others, a few minutes ago the native of Torreblanca in Spain in an Instagram Live referred to his partner Paulo Gonçalves, who a few days ago suffered a training fall, Barreda said that the Portuguese will try tomorrow to see how he feels, if he does not manage to be able to start on Saturday, he will be replaced by the Junior World Rally Cross Country 2016 champion the Chilean Ignacio Cornejo

I had his apprentice, Coppola, down as a malle moto too.

Malle moto with a water carrier would be an interesting development.

Yes it would be . Do all that effort for a win in an induvidual event just to get beaten by a cloaked team near the end . Another level to the Dakar :lol3
I dont think it would fly to well in the malle moto Bivi.

I heard from a friend that Gonçalves’ injuries (dislocated shoulder and thorn knee ligaments) were serious enough that he had no chance of lining up. Apparently he would still travel to Lima for the start, but no race for him.

Maybe I’ve missed it in this thread, or one of the other threads, but wasn’t one of Honda’s bikes stolen? Was it recovered? Was it a spare?

Yep. Pinched out of a truck during the night in Le Havre. Probably by Austrian Gypsies.

Yes, not sure how that worked - he withdrew it once it was impossible for the ASO to give the time back, or the ASO penalised HRC regardless?

All still unclear, although JBB unsuccessfully attempted to appeal in retrospect through the international court for sports arbitration (don’t know how far it actually got) just as Sagan did in this years TDF - it seems like the higher authorities have little appetite to overturn race organisers decisions.
