You're setting out on another ride aren't you?
Thanks for sharing another great adventure Kelly
Too fricken funny... the photo of Matt and Bartek with.... sausages.
We're not worthy, Mameshiba-wan.
Enough riding around having fun! i finished the Baja report and tried to get some work done now this!
Glad to see "Smartek" has stuck.
Now to finish Gettin' Dirty.
Thanks again for all the hard work putting these together, it makes me laugh out loud.
Fantastic RR & great ADV in my favorite kind of terrain! Really like the Hodaka sticker on Medium Wan's XRL. Old school for sure
Aw cripes, here we go again
No time to read right now, but this could explain some of the wild tracks I saw out there early last week
Skimmed and subscribed for later
You guys are nutters
I bet there are more than 10 once you count up all the lurkers!
Nice job. Thanks for sharing!!!
Wow, a double dose of Wan-tastic R/R's.....we are not worthy
Sure looks like y'all had a great trip.... Please continue !!!
I think Bartek might secretly or not so secretly have a closet small bike fetish :eek1
LittleWan I can only assume this addition was from BigWan so he would smile every time he looked through the screen.
Great ride through some wide open country WanGan Style
Another excellent TR thanks for all the hard work, and to think all the guys have to do is press the button on the Gopro :huh
Really enjoyed it. Thanks Kelly and all the guys.
Glad the Ridgeline trunk popped loose. Sausage photos are classic.
Great fun RR.
Awesome report. Your volume goes to 11 .
Thanks, Kelly! Another great RR.
thank you for all the kind words!
So glad you enjoyed the report.
Wow, I recognize Catavina - that was only taken last year??
Smartek looks so young! He's aged a lot since he started riding with us Wans...
Also - thanks for the cool WanGan style image!! Excellent job!
It's a road trip, but in the truck and not for fun.
So, I forgot to mention this -
After that hard hit on the poleline road...
We still had this weird rubbing noise on the bike. It sounded like something was hitting.
Matt was worried we had bent the forks or broken the frame...
Oh, crap. We can't get a new bike every 30- 35,000 miles! :huh
We worried about it all the way back.
But, since getting home he took a better look and seems like it was just the kickstand.
The kickstand relocator got bent back (or up and back?) and it was rubbing on the chain.
It stopped making the weird noise at least.
Hopefully that's it.
Matt hasn't had time to take the tanks off or anything.
We still could have a nasty surprise in store...
I'm starting to worry that we need to stockpile 990 frames or something.
We definitely need to keep some spare rims around.
Already, that hit gave Rade's new excel A60 some "flare" and now we owe him a rebuild.
Sorry, Radek. We'll get that taken care for you....
OK, guys - thanks again and see you around!
yes, thank you so much for "Smartek!"
It was especially appropriate because it has meaning in Poland!
Bartek said it's what you call a bratty, mouthy kid...like a "Smart aleck"
(Anyway, I think that was right - Bartek? Did I understand that correctly?)
Whatever the reason, El Bartek Smartek seems to like the nickname,
and it is sticking!
Enjoy "gettin' dirty"!
Great job on the ride report! Looks like it was a heck of an adventure!
And a mameshiba just to round things off! Great job.
Nice report LittleWan. Even your smaller rides are EPIC! I always learn something from your ride reports, and oftens it's something I can use in the future. Hope your break from ADV isn't TOO Long.
PS - Man you guys FLY on those big bikes offroad! Pure Awesome!
Nice job on the report Kelly. Reading it, it's like riding it all over again...but without the dust!
So here is my Huge Tiny Mistake that I almost made.
Matt and I were filming each other and I got a bit of air into a hole and my foot slipped off, dabbed and dragged. This was the same foot that I busted up in Mexico and just finished healing.
Here is the video link and some screen shots as I manage to get back on, just before going off the trail.

Close one bra!
Thanks again for the good times guys.
The V2R is a lot faster than I thought. Not that much technical stuff and mostly WFO. I'm considering trying the race this year on the 990.
to get caught up and finish this. .
Another AWESOME RR Kelly. Looks like a great group to ride with. Thanks for sharing.
So good to hear from you! Sorry I dropped the ball and didn't give you much of a heads up.
[Edit - Oh good, you were able to embed that video! ]
Wow, what a GREAT save! Whew!
And, Radek didn't show it in this clip, but he really hauled balls afterwards!
Matt and I were also surprised at the V2R course - as you mention, much faster and less technical than expected.
I think you would prefer some of the Nevada parts of the TAT (TransAmerica Trail).
More sandy single track/narrow double track through sage brush...
A couple loose rocky climbs...
But, you should definitely do the V2R on your 990. You would kick some serious ass!
Just don't run a Mitas (the Flat Maker)
Thanks again for coming down from BC just to play...
(and for loaning us the rim. we'll be in touch about that...)
Thank you for the kind words!
But you learned something? Wait, really?
That's wonderful, but I can't imagine what it could be in this RR...
I do know what you learned in the Baja Wan-Thousand ...
be extra careful in Baja if your name is Scott!
Thanks for all the sweet comments, everyone!
You guys are great.
Have fun and GO RIDE!
