I promised the better half to go to the BMW meeting on Saturday(you know she paid for her new Russell Day-Long seat herself:clap), but I am willing to donate Sunday to ride solo and go anywhere you like ---might even see if we could drag some of these old heathens out with us .

    Game if you are,

you get a chance -y'all come up for the meeting Saturday at Vicksburg---supposed to be a great place to eat--

    June 10, 2017 – 10 South Rooftop Bar and Grill, 1301 Washington St, Vicksburg, MS 39180. (601-501-4600)

Also trying to line up a weekend ride up to Mount Magazine, Mt. Nebo, Queen Will. State Park, or that little spot on the bluff up in Arkansas, maybe do that when you get back in next time.
will give you a call Thursday evening

Honey do list has grown to a short story. Won't make the meeting this weekend unfortunately. Rooftop Bar and Grill looks pretty interesting. Let me know how the food is.

(y'all knew that was coming didn't ya)

Six of us took off from Madison and made a paved loop up thru the Delta and back down to Vicksburg, taking almost all side roads and only a short section of 61 at the end. Met up with 7 or 8 more for the BMW meeting and then everyone cut loose and I headed back towards Bienville Nationmal Forest to try and catch up with RedKnight and company.

I never did catch him but got in a little dirt, on old Boykin Church Road and FS Road 503, then the squiggly little paved roads back up to Forest.

All in all ----Great Day on Frau Brueller
    just over 300 miles

Going into my maint. logbook--I just realized that I put a new Heidi tire on the rear of my bike 01-03-17

damn thing is already wore out. Do not understand why

I only turned a smidge of miles on my bike and it must be that someone is riding my bike on the sly.

So I checked the speedometer and it is showing that someone has turned over 12,000 miles.

BOTTOM LINE _________WHOEVER IS PUTTING ALL THOSE MILES ON MY BIKE NEEDS TO HELP PAY FOR THE UPKEEP!!!!!!!

I just don't understand, now I have to put another set of tires on and service the bloody bike,,,-----------AGAIN--------

Yea-- I guess I should put up a little note..
2 of us ran about 150 miles of FS ans CR within the forest.. 4 creek crossings, 2 stuck=in same creek crossing. Couple major log crossings.. It was a great day, and we sure made an Adventure out of it. The new bike performed great, and the old bike is just as ornery and reliable as ever..
All the roads were in excellent shape for drifting, and little to no dust after the rain.. A few surprise washouts kept us on our toes, along with some trees around blind corners.. We did miss KW, but after the stuck in the creek fest we were a hour or so behind schedule..

Note.. There is logging going on in the south end near Raleigh, East of 35. outside of the forest... reroutes were easy enough.. but be aware a couple FS roads leading out to the south were gated..

Oh yea, I forgot how that worked out for you in the past-----

Should have stopped after showing us how to do it the first time, but noooooooo, one more time ----

Damn---I think that the sliding thing might work better sometimes---at least that what they showed them there motorcycle riders doing it in the movies.

Now ---Really ---you have the big bike---so haul the chainsaw and cut that thing out of the way!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everybody accuses me of carrying everything except the kitchen sink------Little do they know I got that in the box too.
    LMAO

and on a side note: if you are still around on the 24th---BMW Baton Rouge is having their anniversary thingy that day... some of us Heathens will be there. I will buy you a cup of coffee.

This link goes to the Motor Vehicle Use Maps (MUVM) for MS National Forests.
    https://www.fs.usda.gov/main/mississippi/maps-pubs
The map isn't very user friendly, but it does provide which roads are open to motorized vehicles and OHVs, and which dates they are closed to all motorized travel (this info is on the last page). Those gates are annoying, and only seem to be open for hunting seasons.

Well on a whim, I jumped on my bike Friday afternoon and blasted over to Dallas for the weekend. A short trip, came back yesterday night. But all in all, had a great time visiting family.[IMG]
