This ^ badass just climbed from 11000' to 14000'+ up Gray's Peak CO.
Thanks Todd! Best wishes in the new Continent.
Don't forget to update us.
That would be a nice cabin to have!
Jack, I have been inspired by you. I am considering putting new TKC80s on the Tiger before leaving for BYOB and RTS. Even though the Pilot Power 3 on the back is brand new (and sticky as hell) and the PR3 on the front has plenty of life.
I want to try some gravel roads on the Tiger! I may have to rig a switch to toggle the ABS off while on the loose stuff.
Tom you should bring the tiger to the rts we can find a few gravel roads.
I am bringing the Tiger - but probably won't have the TKC80s yet unless Jack wants to lend me his set for a couple weeks.... Bring em up to CT's this weekend and we'll swap out the sportbike tires for dirtbike tires.
Eiither way the Tiger is going to BYOB and RTS. No heated gear this time
Jack, we saw this in the middle of nowhere New York last week and the three things that popped into mind immediately were you, our trip last year, and a shitload of dimes.

Gravel is fine, but remember the "bash plate" is a hunk of plastic, and pay close attention to where the rear calipers are..... :ddog... It's like they thought... "hmmmm where is the most fucking vulnerable place we can put the rear brakes" OH YEA ... that's it.
Awesome Kevin! At least there seems to be construction in your photo
You have inspired me Sir...
On the 1 year anniversary of leaving for the CDR ride, and starting this thread, me and JaxWife have decided to go back out there to do parts of the CDR and meet up with Bill at his new place in Montana. This is gonna happen next summer.
Logistics to be worked out during thousands of planning meetings in my head.
OH YEA..... Something to Obsess over... Like a pig in shit.
At least it didn't say 713 feet ahead stop
Jax', I could not wait for you buddy. I am starting later with a different group. I am not sure of the dynamics of this group. At least two others like beer, bourbon and ceegars! So there is hope.
During the planning meeting I kept saying a would bring a shit loads of dimes, they just didn't get it. I even showed them pixs of the trip, then a couple of them rented BS. Now the cool kids are calling it the "shit load of dimes tour"!
I took some pictures
Like where the truck is stopped?
Now the light is green.
That is freakin' awesome Jack. I hope you guys have as much fun as we did.
Safe travels Jack.
I know today is a big day for you. I never met your Dad so thanks for sharing some of his life with me.
Thanks Kev! It worked out GREAT! Dr Jones is a really great man. Amazing that he still has every one of his marbles at 90 years old!!! A true American treasure.
A year ago today me and Bill were pulling into a campground in Grants NM.
AWRITE PEOPLES lemme get back to some mediocrity for a friggn change.
Went to WV again LOL..... I just seem to be drawn to the mountains. A life long obsession. And, once in a while it isn't raining or snowing!!!
Me and Wingfixer left Baltimore on Friday morning 6/28 heading to BYOB in Seneca Rocks WV. I was camping for a coupla nights and he was delivering a pile of lil booze bottles to Hawk... possibly lost a bet. then the nut headed back to Baltimore.
Folks don't think of MD as a rural state, but it really is...
