I will post pix when they arrive. I ordered the 10 inch bags in charcoal
Great news, looking fwd to the pics as I hope the charcoal is dark.
cindy said the charcoal is almost black
I'll check out your pics.
Bastige .....mine aren't projected in until Jan.
Cool beans. You are Mr. First on every list for anything related to the 800 aren't you
Actually # 58 so i,m sure others will post first. (lets see em)
Matt how's the new scooter?
Um, in pieces . . . the PO never washed the bike and hasn't changed the coolant, plugs or done any other real maintenance (besides the oil and possibly the valves) in the last 15k miles. I tore the whole thing apart and have cleaned it to the bone. The engine looked gray and worn, now it is black and shiny. In the next few weeks I'm going to be lubing the bearings, fork oil, engine oil, valves, coolant, plugs and checking all the other odds and ends. I'm also doing a few upgrades. . . 13w trail tech HID lights (I never thought 13w could be so bright!), Centech board for power, Stebel horn, sold the Givi luggage and bought TT racks to go with my Zegas, Datel voltmeter, cutoff switches for the head lamps, and possibly a slick removable rear rack like Sscratch has on his DRZ.
Should be ready to head to NC two times next year. . . once for the Thumper Thaw and once for the MOA rally. I figure showing up on a Tiger at BMW rallies will get me more looks than my Dakar
Hey!!!! Did Anyone Get Theirs Yet? Pics?
I got notice that mine were shipping today. But I'll be out of town for a while so I won't receive them until 12/29. I'll get photos, etc soon after.
Same here, email notice today ... I'm getting mine the 23rd.
Just in time for Christmas. I only had time to open one and not much to say about them other than they are heavier than Al's Millennium bags that stood up to a 20 MPH crash saving my leg in the process ... I'll assume this means they'll protect even better. Three boxes neatly and efficiently packed.
Nice looking stuff. Those were my #2 choice for luggage. I decided to go with Caribou because they'll handle getting dumped better I think. On pavement, I'm very experienced. Off pavement, however... well..
Harry, what is the cutout in the pic for?
It fits around the gas fill cap http://www.jesseluggage.com/f650-800.html
Thanks Harry, looking at the pic it looks like the left side bag/understand why they had to position it on that side.
They went on easily.
Solid build and a tight fit. No flex at all. Nice hardware.
And they look good, too.
So far my only concern is the exhaust floats a bit and may knock, but no damage expected. I would liked a little longer bolt for the exhaust....
These look great on the bike.
Finally got my 800GS and I have the same bags on order. I installed an Akrapovic muffler which is slimmer (but still quiet), so I hope to have a bit more clearance.
Harry Swan----What brand of skid plate is that ? Is it suspended by the stock rubber mounts.
The bags look good -- I have some charcoal ones on order.
Nice looking bags
waiting for the same deal in chalcoal
hope the fit is tighty with the akro brapp barp
