Interesting day out, similar to when I lived in las Vegas & used to go out into the surrounding mountains there (Mt Charleston is around 12k ft high)

Now tell me, as your command of the English language is so good, are you a Brit abroad or just well *edumicated??:deal

*edumicated is a word that sticks in my head because that dumbkoff GWBush used it once when giving a speech that showed just how under educated he actually is!!!:lol3

the ride down the hill was pain free and this was the first flat stretch in about 12 km where the brakes weren't on. So I nailed it

This is actually looking back they way I came - the mountain I went up is in the background

I screwed up a bit at this point as I headed along the flat ground between the 2 mountain ranges, although it doesn't really matter where you are going when you are just arsing about. More flat ground and more nailing the mighty DR. And because I was going reasonably fast I didn't take the correct turn to go up and over the mountain track that I'd seen from the other range. But it hardly mattered, it was a nice bit of track. And still no cars

And anyway, it's worth getting lost when the road opens up like this in front of you

So, with that view in front of me

    only one thing to do

Just a cheap and cheerful camera and a 10 second timer. I wish I had a remote.
