Headed home with my new to me Buell S1 Lightning! :D

I've posted a question thread a while back and I've posted about this bike in the "What bike do you want today" thread.

Well, today was the day, the stars all aligned finally and it is MINE! :clap

More pics and info to come but here's the first pic since it actually became MY "new" bike...

Time will tell of course, but after the first 2 minutes of a 10 minute test ride I was smiling from ear to ear! So, far it is everything I expected and was hoping it would be. :1drink

And to think, I've always been a Harley basher....

Well, you know what I mean....:D

I guess to be fair I should clarify....

It isn't so much HD that I had issue with anyway. I just never got the cruiser thing, and maybe even more was all the people that wanted or owned a "Harley" rather than a motorcycle that just happened to be built by HD. That and the A-holes that flipped me off because I was on my Duc instead of a "Harley". Just a series of things over the years that, justly or not, turned me anti-harley. I'm just somewhat surprised that I actually own something produced by the motor company and with a HD engine no less....

But, enough of my old prejudice.

You're right. It is none of those things, and I LOVE IT so far!:clap

    Really?

I'm 5'7" on a good day, have a 30 inch inseam, and can flat foot the S1.

I also ride a 1150GS and a KTM 640 LC4. The KTM has a 37" seat height. :huh Can't flat foot either of those of course.......

IMHO the S1 is one of the sexiest motorcycles made, if it were mine I'd look for a XB motor to stuff into it. :D

    Congratulations

Yeah, been thinking that I'd buy up all the S1s first, then move on along to the XBs. :D

May need to start selling some stuff to make room in the garage though... :huh

LMAO, that Willie G patch is funny!!!!! I had a '00 and a '97 S3T both with the T-bolt motor. They were two of the most fun bikes I've ever owned and I've had over 35 bikes in the last 30 years. Nice bike, you'll like it. The seat looks like a nut-buster though.....;-)
