No I can't place the Yamaha. Seen them before. But don't know exactly what year. But they bring back memories. So I guess it's going to snow and be cold for a while?:deal

Jeebus, that Harley has a tiny rear sprocket! Nice looking bike. Is that a 4-stoke 250cc Aramechi? Push rod motor?

Yup, 73 MX360, first year for the thermoflow shocks and reed valve. Good motors. Those fenders are unobtanium.
Norton beat me to it, make sure that bad boy is timed correctly, I know a guy who has a perm back injury from one of those kicking back.

    Nice collection :clap

Aermacchi - made planes for the Italian air force before the axis power beat down.

There was an episode of Then Came Bronson where he entered an offroad race to win some prize money. In one of the action shots showing him flying over a jump....his Sportster briefly turns into an Aermacchi Sprint :lol3

    before you start it:

A guy a year ahead of me in high school had one - it would kick over running backwards occasionally.

from episode 20 "Mating Dance for Tender Grass"

Bronson races his Sportster in an offroad race, with a boattail Sporty as grand prize.

Check out at 1:22 and 2:55, you can see it's a Sprint, you can see the pyramid "eye of god" decal on a red peanut tank....on a Sprint

At the end of the race at 3:54 you see him sitting on the Sportster again.

Good looking collection Ian. I'll have to get over and take a peek before any of them get sent off to container land.

Maybe I'm crazy or losing brain cells, but the size of the Yamaha's cylinder head leads me to believe it's a 1973 SC500 (but I could be wrong).

    http://vintagemx.com.au/1973-yamaha-sc500-test

That and the MX360 of that year were painted/fendered in identical livery, but "LOOK at the size of that 'Heed'! It's giant, and spherical, but quite pointy in parts!"

I think you've cracked it old chap, a quick search for SC500 reveals:-

1973 sc500 is silver with Black and Red Stripe.
1974 sc500 is Yellow with Black Stripe.

Only realeased for the two years.
Frame and engine serial is 363-00???? for the 1973 and is 363-10???? for the 1974 model. (note the 1 in 1974).

Also, the SC500 has a twin plug head which is what this has. You have earned yourself some beer.

I was thinking that Yamaha cylinder looked a little big. My wife had the '73 360. She rode that on our first date, out dirt-biking in the desert.
