Looks like most of you had a great day. Makes me wish I lived up that way.
mid 60th in <s>December</s>??? :huh
EDIT: as Enduro125 just pointed out, it is already January - oops, close enough
better get some helmet-time....
the problem about riding in the middle of winter? lots of crap (sand, salt, gravel) everywhere
"lunch" at Roan Mt.
I think I photographed this one before - well, not this year
wtf? - I want to turn here... and I already came from the direction they want to send me :huh
And that's for Banjo: 5 barns at once! You'll never beat that one!
should I? It is soooo tempting.....
at this point I was already on reserve... no problem, after all, there is one gas-station in the area:
uhhoo, somebody stopped selling gas apparently... :eek1
so, the way home is about 30 min from there, tiny backroads and no gas-station. The closest gas is in going out of the way... guess I'll be home by dark
Turns out, I prolly would have made it.... 30 miles on reserve and .2 gallons to spare
all in all, 250 great miles of backroads and gravel (more like snoddy/slick stuff). Yup, good day!
Like the banana pic.
haha, I guess it is.... oops.
fixed my post
It's a wonder we didn't pass each other at some point yesterday, a lot of our tracks were overlapped.
The gauntlet has been thrown.
Y'all suck, BTW. The weather is perfect down here and I'm stuck working.
did you come our road by any chance? H said he heard my bike and honking... 30 min before I made it home :huh.
Maybe he did hear my old bike
Yes...Yes I do believe he did hear it
I went down to open the gate when you honked.
Then I stood around for half an hour wondering where the hell she went?
I think she would do/did that on purpose.
knowing that makes that side trip down your road totally worth it. The place looked like no one was home or I would have stopped in.
Sure, just remember you'll be under fire on the way back.
Likin' the new camera.
I know, private property... even hiking that bridge could get you in trouble.
And only a few pics are with the new camera - I still use the old one for drive by shootings and quick shots.
could be - I got myself lost on purpose a few times....
btw, somebody asked me the other day how I manage to go ass-over-teakettle while loosing my seat at the same time. Simple, first - I am not good in "landing" (obviously) , and second I pulled the seat of (by accident) on the previous "courtesy crash".
the seat-tabs, or whatever they are called (cut by the previous owner for quick access)
