Made any snow cream ?
The pup looks happy.
Just when we thought we got rid of most of the sand...
Better be gone in a month is all I have to say!!!!
what a difference 10 days make: beautiful riding weather...
so I figured time to put the parts into the beemer and do a test ride:
added some genuine F650 parts
and went to "work" - should not have been a problem, well - this is the end-product as of last night :huh
I ended up removing the whole rear-end to have a thread "helicoiled", and to replace even some more parts. Maybe I should have asked my hubby to look at the suspension instead of trying it all by myself (guess I learn as I go ).
So, since I am stuck anyway waiting for parts I decided it's a good time to replace the old gas in the Morini...
"draining" the gas...
and replacing it
finally some "mechanical" work I don't screw up
to bad I forgot to charge the battery for the camera... great day for a ride.
What gas station is that? I'm gonna quit leaving this ethanol crap in my engines over the winter.
Country Hub - across from Ingles in Mars Hill (about 40 cent extra for non-ethanol gas).
took me a while to get rid of the old gas on Paint Fork - Phipps - Prices Creek
I found a place about 5 miles from me that sells non ethanol regular for about the same mark up....isn't it nice how they charge you extra for NOT adding something.
Yeh... I love the way you pay extra $ for less processing of diesel.:huh and ... aircraft fuel... (basically kerosene), way less processing than unleaded regular, but bigtime pricey.
Hi ho Cuttle... 5 weeks to the RDV!!! Spam... good with eggs and toast.
Ethanol sux!I just replaced melted fuel lines because of it and the line was rated for the crap.
me too... to be over
j/k, lot's of more stuff to do... but I think we are on a good track (I hope).
btw - a good source for ethanol free gas:
SPAM link ------->>>
Damn it!Closes one to me is a 20 minute ride.
so what's the problem? - great excuse to make a detour at the end of a ride
Sure is.I was thinking cage time not moto time.
Hmm... Says that D&D right there in Barnyardsville has it too. No wonder we thought they were always so high, we've been getting the good stuff there all along.
That is a nice Pic
yes I am slacking...
and I could use a few little things like a unexpected trip to Germany, and organizing a little event like the RDV, as an excuse, but mostly it was the lack of experience in finding broken bits/bearings ahead of time. Instead, every time I wanted to put my bike back together I ended up taking it more apart - and ordering/waiting for more parts
So, finally with a weekend off, I got around to it. Hardest part was to remember what goes where
had my hubby to secure a little "dodgy" bolt
tomorrow I ride!
650 looks great Cuttle! DOn't sweat the time it took to get it done, mine has been apart in the basement more time in the last 2 years than it has been running in good shape. I ALWAYS set to doing a task and find 5 more things that need attention. Always. These are great bikes, and once you get it going, it will be a trusted ride.
Trips to Deutchland and planning an EPIC party are legit excuses. Thank you again for the latter.
Looking FWD to seeing more of WNC!
If it's any consolation, mine will become a pile of parts for a while, later on this week.
me too... first I tired to figure something out: leftovers
it's the bearing seal/washer on the inside of the swing-arm. I guess, I will pay more attention next time
at least I am getting real fast taking it apart and put back together : less than an hour and I was ready to roll... well, everything but the battery was ready - it decided not hold a charge anymore.
so, took the B-bike again (I don't take many pics on the Morini due to the lack of magic button)
hooked up with the boys
and a critter pic
