Next week, July 3rd. This is all assuming I get my Jeep running before then. No Jeep means no trip.

Way to much rain lately, so I didn't' get a change to ride a lot, but I did do some long overdue bike projects:

moving and adding buckles to stop the tanbag from sliding around

changing my seating position from Western (knees sticking out) to English (legs tight) - and it helps a bunch with touching the ground:norton

fixin' some stuff I broke :shog (house rules: you break it - you fix it)

yeah I know - reading glasses :cry

and .... no more knobbies :cry:cry:cry - but something really fun for the road and ok on hard-pack gravel: Conti Trail Attack 2 :rayof

front tire next, oil-change, few more maintenance things and I am ready for a tour de lobsta.... :evil

Blue Hill area may be one of the stops... or earlier, depends when Hunter starts to complain about riding the LC4 to Cape Breton :lol3

(disclaimer: since he's on such a "comfortable bike" we are going to cheat and truck the bikes to MA and stay a night with Librarian)

    Things to consider;

    Castine
    Cape Rosier
    Stonington
    South and East Blue Hill
    Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park
West Quoddy Head (easternmost point in the US)

North of Belfast you can pretty much hug the coast and take a lot of the side roads down to the fishing piers and stuff.

Rt.1 in the Searsport area is pretty crowded in the summer, lots of straphangers.

South of Augusta will be mostly larger cities.

The Bagaduce Lunch, that I pictured before, has the best fried clams on Earth, if you're into that sort of thing.

The new bridge in Bucksport has a cool observation deck in the west tower.

My brother and his wife own Blue Hill Disposal. If you run into trouble in that area I'm sure he wouldn't mind lending a hand.
