im up for the blue ridge trail
that could be fun... long weekend, several groups based on speed and meet up at night
maybe a bit chilly if we camp... but I have a week off on thanksgiving
started out pretty cold this morning, so instead of having a food pic during the ride I made some Eggs Bacondict while waiting for the temps to into the upper 40th
Unanka Mt. Road
if you look close, you'll see the road I came down and up
Selfie - damn this is a wobbly bridge...
100 miles - almost no traffic and no cops: Yancey and Mitchell County (plus a tiny bit of TN)
That's a pretty bridge. I think I passed it once when I was sort'a lost. Is it on the Toe river heading towards Burnsville?
I've got a couple of "big-ass" cables, each about 150' long. Maybe we could build a swinging motorcycle crossing bridge somewhere, perhaps near the RDV rally or Nottarally. We'll need a lot of U-bolts and a lot of beer....
Yup, the bridge is on 197 over the Toe; there are a bunch more on Hunting Dale and 19W, but I think these are all private.
And go for it with building a bridge... I'll have the camera ready
Lets build a zipline!
That looks like a sure-fire money maker. $5 each to cross, and $5 each to watch! :eek1 (We could charge even more if we could find a river with a few gators in it!)
We'd have beer-money for life!
Looks like you had a nice day.
Great pictures and nice color/composition.
It's been crap here ever since I got back.
Still hoping for that nice fall ride.
Your graded gravel pics are making me crazy.
I know, but I feel the need to get dirty again.... but the tires (trail attack's) are so much fun on the road - and last forever - so I gotta stick to easy stuff on this bike.
Guess it's time to get the DRZ running again... maybe I get lucky and I'll be one of the first customers once the guys get the shop open (they are fixing it up right now).
And I guess I'll have to make Jambalaya for the opening... details to follow
and yes - the frame is from my "project in boxes" I own for over 20 years
I don't know what this is, I'm out of the loop again.
Looks cool as hell.
That's a really nice shop, I'm a little envious. There were two close together that were vacant. I was hoping this was the one the guys were getting. Looks like another stove to keep wood cut for too. I wish Hunter all the good fortune in the world in this venture.
All the details are on facebook.
you are mean...
oh, and for Ricky Bobby: fb link
Can't see FB at work!
