Are those "grow lights" hanging from the ceiling?
nope... granted, it's Asheville, but this place was a welding shop before
So, long story short these two guys decided that they need to get a place to work on bikes in Asheville
Upside: way more space in the basement
Downside: all the tools and compressor will be gone... guess I have to get my own stuff now (it's over 20 miles to the shop)
Somehow it doesn't seem quite as cool as it did.
Bad juju.Lots of people been hung and tortured in there.Place is haunted.I love good stories.
Just look where it is though, walking distance from about 5 Breweries, including the Wedge.
Me thinks ulterior motives for sure
And it puts the cool factor back in
and a big screen to watch races, outdoor area, tire changing, service, project bikes....
Hunter won't get any work done with everybody hanging out there
I've already picked out a spot over by the heater.
You'll be "That Guy".
Did anybody else happen to notice that the place is already a hippy chick hang out?
...........If I wasn't happily married that is.....................
Now this is truly weird: I loaded the map, then it autoloaded the pics. I clicked on a little tab for Photos and when the photos panned left to The Orange Peel, it had a "xxx.jpg by Mark Johnson" in the upper corner. :huh Pretty sure I've never been in downtown Asheville before.
If you enjoy riding up to the mountains with your family to choose and cut your tree, one of my neighbors is giving them away for free. There's a variety of sizes, & pretty nice shapes. I didn't see any "Charlie Brown" trees.
They are on Wards Branch Rd, just off Hwy 321. About 20 minutes West of Boone. Bring a saw and wear boots or shoes with good grip, because it's steep. I got our tree a couple days ago, there were a few hundred (200-400?). Nobody was there, but a sign said "Be careful it's steep, take all you need for friends & family. God bless."
They aren't bundled, so are bulky. Need a pick-up, or maybe you can wrap it up in a tarp?
Ho! Ho! Ho!
Cuttle, looking at the shop photo above...that big white thing in the back corner is the walk in beer cooler, right?
I wish, but that's the "walk-in beer eliminator"
but the beer fridge got delivered yesterday, together with a small sand-blasting booth. Painting 's done, new bars on the windows, floors sealed, stove moved, tools there, Indian put in the corner, and the guys are working on the workbenches now.
And the first "bike" to work on is there too already: Sean crashed his scooter last Wednesday: broke the engine case/swing-arm in half :huh (he's ok)
At 500 clicks away, all I can do is drool.
And fondly wish that great times are had there.
Shut up moran.
