I have the 140/80-18 on my '12 690 KTM and it is OK on the wet pavement as long as you are careful on the throttle!

    Cheers,

I've gotten phenomenal mileage out of my K60 on my Vee. I haven't had an issue on wet Tarmac or in wet, gravel or mud conditions either.

Currently? I'm at about 6500 miles, give or take a hundred. I've got plenty of tread depth left and it still hooks up great. It has squared off a bit, but nothing to the point of being unmanageable.

SlowPhil had a set of his Wee for his trip to TDF and got something insane like 23,000 or more Kilometers before he was forced to change them. His ride report is here: http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=820120

I commute on my K60s in Seattle.

They are not as good as a true sticky wet weather tire.

However I've not had a problem at all with them in the wet.

    BUT

I'm a fairly conservative rider and even more so in the rain.

    YMMV

You my friend may have just sold me on this tire!!.
Nowing you ride here in Seattle means you know how to ride in rain.We are both VERY conservative riders, wet and dry.
What size do you run in the rear ??.

They are ok in the wet, but look out when the really get worn. I still have 4mm of tread and that continuous rubber strip along the centerline has no rain grooves. Glad the Super Tenere has really good traction control, because when I turn it off the slightest throttle will break the rear loose.

    expect 10,000 minimum from the k60. I ride a hp2e .
However as to their ability in the wet, i rode through timor /flores and other islands to bali and in the rain they were ok but i would not put them in the same class as the karoo. The karoo T gave me confidence any where and is still my tire of choice until they stop production.

They are O.K., once you realize they actually have more grip when leaned than upright it's a lot better.

Not the best wet tire I've used, but for wet and crappy roads, hard to beat.

I ride year round here in Seattle so I spend probably 6+ months a year riding in the rain.I'm a VERY slow and easy rider in the wet and not very aggresive in the dry ( same go's for my wife ).I just wanted a rear tire that would make it to Deadhorse and back and give good offroad traction. We are both on low HP bikes with moderate loads so they should give good milage.

Just pulled my rear off at just over 12K.. The front is still going strong.. I really like these tires. I dont have any chicken strips on the front and ride the heck out out of them on road and off.. In the rain I have found no issues riding the bike hard. The only time I really take it easy is a early fresh rain on asphalt roads.. Other than that, Ive had no issues..... Im sticking another set on......

Finally mounted up the rear K60's on my bike and my wifes.
The 140-17 on my wifes bike was easier then the front TKC!!.
The 150-17 on my bike was harder but not terrible, took me about 15 minutes.
