I am hoping to assemble a group for those who are part of the Kaiserslautern Military Complex (KMC). I built a FaceBook page called 'KMC Adventure Riders' but found out about this site yesterday. No sense in reinventing the wheel, I suppose.

Anyone in my neck of the woods?

If we can get a few more folks who are interested, I think it might be worth organizing a ride.

I have been a little surprised how difficult it has been to round up a large group from this area.

Last year I really enjoyed (minus the rain) and this year also. Definitely a lot more people this year, but with that there were also a lot more displays and vendors. I have always camped and had a really nice time...

I go to Touratech quite a bit and this is the route I take. There is a restaurant called "Lowen Schwarzenberg" about 2/3rds the way there from our area.
I finally found a nice sit down place that serves all day (limited but still meals) and it's right along a great river/valley route.

I am in the area as well (part-time at least). I ride a F800GS.

There is a Horizons Unlimited meeting in Germany twice a year that is just outside of K-town. The next meeting is Oct 26-29. It is always a great event. http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/events

    Gentlemen,

Im in Stuttgart , Böblingen actually. I don't go North very often, but when you come south, reach out. I also have some real good routes in northern italy, Touratech doest really support me, but Ive been there and I like it. I ride a Triumph Sprint ST 955i and I do the vintage thing with a 67 Honda CT90 daily driver, and a 48 Moto Guzzi Airone that goes to festivals and events, but in a truck if farther than 25 miles.

I remember Brit Man from a stammtisvh in Cologne back n 2010. IM back Buddy.

I am around in the event anyone wants to meet up. Heading out for a 20 day ride with my wife in October (Spain, Portugal, etc...) but again, am available to meet up if nothing more for a coffee or quick lunch (for those in the area).

Was hoping to go to the Horizons Unlimited event this fall...had a nice time at the earlier one this spring. Hope everyone is doing well :)

I'm working at Germany temporarily--but the bike isn't with me. Love the area, would really like to have a bike here and get connected to with you locals!

Hey guys.. I am in Basel Switzerland and only 3 hours from Kaiserlauten. Am up for guys wanting to ride. Switzerland is like germany ... cannot ride offroad (legally).. well not much anyway, but in France there are plenty of places. If anyone wants to plan a weekend trip to morvan I am up for it, also if anyone is up for a week on the TET would be pretty awesome.

I have seen the thread stopped in September. If you guys are all still alive let me know where you have gone. Cheers

    Hello Maxte_CRF,
Thanks for reaching out. I am up here in Kaiserslautern. I would be interested in some offroad (big bike suitable) in France this Spring. I am not familiar with Morvan. Are you on the CRF250L Rally?
    Cheers, R.J.
