Putnam county doesn't but it does have deer.
That picture is what I think it will look like right before I hit a deer on the bike.
Hadn't thought about it like that, but you're probably right.
I like this picture better.
Was that this year? Nice shot with the bow.
Yeah, shot him two nights ago, found him yesterday morning. He's hanging in the garage now, along with a button buck I shot Saturday night. Butchering starts today.
A few in Bourbon and in Linn but very few.
Neighbors use to tell me stories how thick there were in Bourbon County. People would park bumper to bumper for miles along gravel roads to shoot them.
Well the next time I'm down there you will have one more, the one in the picture. Sally hates chickens (calls them flying pieces of liver) and she hates this one the most.
This flying carp is in my office.
What did you think of the ride? I thought it was pretty sweet.

I had a good time. I just needed more time. If the weather permits, I may go back down New Years. May go down and hike also.
Opening day down at the Plaza. Clem has pointed several birds, all are double breasted. Not enough gun.
I once heard high heels clicking coming up behind me as I was exiting a building down there, turned for a peek and was so distracted I banged the door into my noggin. I got a good laugh out of her as I slunk off.
I did that a lot yesterday.
We went to IKEA to see if we wanted to pursue doing a IKEA kitchen.
I think we will. Our kitchen is really small, but it is important to us and we rarely eat out in Emporia.
IKEA has a CAD program that is easy to use and doesn't suck the life out of your PC. We will have a contractor here go over our measurements and work out the changes that will have to be made (demo, gas line, outside hood exhaust....) and have him do the install. After we get done designing, i will pay one of IKEA kitchen planners review and make suggestions. I bet it will take two month for us to design the kitchen.
After IKEA it was lunch and then coffee at Broadway Cafe, my favorite cafe. But the real motive was to go to Pioneer Park. Catty corner from the cafe and never paid attention.
This is cool.
Now I will admit, I am no stick and ball fan, but a Chief's jersey on Jim Bridger?
Enough is enough.
A email will be sent to KC park service, with cc to Santa Fe Trail Association, NPS Santa Fe Trail, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Savage brothers.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Happy Thanksgiving! I had a nice one.
Paddling plans on the Kaw have changed;
That is the gauge at DeSoto, and it means I would have to do a lot of water walking.
The take out at Eudora is really nice, had never been there before until last Sunday. It is on the Wakarusa River about one mile upstream from the Kaw. The park is right in town and looks like a nice safe place to leave your vehicle overnight.
Clem & I leave in a couple of hours for Pawnee Rock and points west on the Santa Fe Trail.
The next 3 days will be good riding weather on the GS.
I have done all of the Santa Fe National Historic Trail GeoTour in Kansas, 38 caches.
I even stopped by the Trail Association and joined Friday. This has been fun, good riding, great country and I'm learning a lot.
Ruts are very visible, four abreast.
Good company on the trail;
Your dog rides with you? Awesome!
