Yes Dave see you there. However my wallet is being tested early. Just put new Master cyclinder kit in, then new Heidy K60 front. Then front brake lines decide if the Master cyclinder can get a rebuild then they want to be replaced as well. damn well bleeding cash(and brakefluid) at the moment. And its still 7 weeks to go.

    Craig,
I understand the no Moonan Flats. Where will you stay? What about Taylors Arm?

Bloody BMW's aint what they used to be, how dare them lines fail after only 20 years or so. Did you replace the back as well and with braided lines? Don't worry you will only spend that money once and you can't take it with you.

    Cheers

Mate its a bit early yet. Taylors Arms is a push on the Friday. It may be I`ll do what I did last year and meet up with whomever at the end of the day or Saturday morning.
As for the money side of things. You gotta have some in the first place to not worry about taking it with you in the end.

Good on ya Davo, thanks for the great pictures.

    Craig,
No one I know with a bike has any money. Can't take it with you but I don't want to spend the kids inheritence so I only ride a couple times each year. I went arse up in your neck of the woods last Saturday on a very slippery creek crossing and wore through the engine bar, it hurt a bit to. Took four to get it up, two to lift and two to support the lifters, a very slippery little sucker. Never mind new engine bars is better than other damage on an R1200GS.

    Cheers

Done a heap of Moonan Flat Friday nights but the new management was very nose in the air when we called in this year after staying at Nundle. Apparently the camp drafting set are more to her liking! This year Friday night will be Taylors Arm.

Seemed business as usual for the Xmas thing in December (camping out the back, swimming pool in action) although the 12 that turned up didn't stretch the relationship much.

Change is good though and last year Nundle did open up some opportunities to go on different roads. Maybe the pre-Karuah thing will just fizzle and people will make their own arrangements? Is it just me or is ADV going that way anyway?

My understanding is that Moonan was a yearly get together for
OZ Explorers Group?????? I might have the name wrong. And as Karuah was that same weekend it was a usual 2 event weekend. Ive been to about 3 Moonans and they seem to have dwindled in popularity as they years go on. However thats my opinion only. As for ADV going that way, I think its like anything of this nature is that its an every evolving concept.

The new publican at Moonan Flat is OK he opened up to give us fuel on New Year's Eve (when he was exceptionally busy). There was no way we would have made it back to Gloucester with the remaining fuel we had and he could see that. They were expecting 400-500 folks for NYE and most would be dining as well as drinking. He has cleaned up the toilets and made a few other changes to improve the facilities.
I would be there this year but my F800GS has been sold for salvage after being hit by a car. The driver got fined and I got a trip to hospital to have a screw inserted in my broken wrist :splat
I have been borrowing a mate's WR450 and hope to either buy a WR450 or a KTM 450exc sometime later this year. It's been nice to get off the big pigs and go lighter and more flickable :lol3
