There's no recent or active Katana thread, so I figured I'll see how it goes.

I got my 1994 600 from the original owner with 5500 miles. It was supposed to be a "compromise bike" for me & my wife to share but she's new & not into this bike - at least not the pilot's seat yet. Otherwise, I might have gotten a 750 or 1000.

Anyway, I love it. It goes plenty fast for me. It's very smooth for a bike that likes to be in the 6000-12,000 rpm range. I realize that they get a bad rep for being cheap and heavy, but it's got all the power I need. Top speed is between 120 & 130 but I havn't gone all out onit yet. My friend got a ticked for 81 in a 65 - almost $300 !!!! I'll keep it under 100 for the most part.

Eventually, I need to get some bags mounted up so I can travel on it. I don't have any trouble doing 2-3 hundred miles on it. I am currently getting my Garmin GPS hardwired into it.

If you have one, lets see some pictures.

Nice, it looks just like mine. You have it all loaded up for the trip, it's clearly not a picture from Kansas. I took all the fairings off my bike last night to touch them up.

a 94 600 was my first road bike. Was in the process of stripping all the plastic off and relocating the pegs/ finding something gravel road friendly when she was stolen.

I have 2001 750 cc kat[IMG]. I just can't upload pics, once I figure out how i will post my bike.

The kats are great bikes, fast enough, comfortable, and smooth.

You have to upload them to Photobucket or some other image hosting site. You are linking to pictures on your computer - that doesn't work.

I'm doing some work to the plastics so I took them off. I got bored doing that and just went for a ride.

I used to have one, it was my first bike.

The day I bought it, that purple and teal HAD TO GO!!!

I put ~8000 miles on it during my first year of riding, had a minor accident, then sold it and moved on. It served me well, but I can't honestly say that I miss it.

Wingspan- never seen a Katana with a solo cowl before. It REALLY improves the looks, IMHO.

Thanks. I thought it was an improvement. The cowl was from Airtech, a fiberglass copy of the rarely seen Suzuki accessory part.

I liked the old kat. It was pretty comfy, got decent mileage, and was cheep. 2k for my old 94 600 with 10k on the clock.
