I just picked up a Turbo GPz750 and a fellow inmate is picking her up for me tomorrow! Gotta love turbo bikes. Good luck with your project, and keep us up-to-date.

Well, unless I have gone insane, that is not a turbo 650. And Kawasaki, did they even make a 650 turbo? I thought all Kwak turbos were on the GPZed platform, and 750ccs.

Yeah, I actually got that AFTER I actually read your whole post! Dummy me! NICE old KZ! I love the older Kawasaki standards! I rode a first year KZ650SR that was kick ass back in the day....I still want a early dual shock or first year uni trak GPz550.

Those LTD seats really look cool...If I was you, I'd move that sissy bar up a little...your going to need it :lol3.

Ah Mike, time doesn't matter. Just have fun. That's the best part about these 'projects' that we do. As long as you have a bike to ride...who cares how long it takes. I've just started a VMX build...I have 8 months till the next season of racing starts. So, thats 7 months to build...1 month for testing...I should be fine.

I'll post up some history of the turbo, for some tread backround...

At 1st I was going to rip the rack and sissy bar off but its kindy cool. I have kids so if I get this going maybe I can take one to bike night with me.

Jim, i've been itching to bolt that turbo up ever sence it was delivered. When I got this bike last week I quickly tore into it to see if it would run. To my suprise after draining the bowls it fired right up. Not great but it ran on all 4 cyl's. Figured the intakes need resealing and carbs gone through so this is a perfect time to install the turbo. I actually have another 6-5-0 I was going to put it on but that needs ALOT of work.

Over the weekend we took off the exhaust, intakes, carbs and airbox. I need to snap a few more pics......

Any and I mean any info. you have please feel free to add it.

    Here's the kit pic:

Played with it some more. Here just a mock up of the turbo in place. Looks like the stock EX collars won't work......will probably need to cut them down to fit the header.
