I have a WR450 minus the engine that you could have cheap.

I know I'm late to the game here - but any idea what this is? What is going on with that front end? Why are the forks backward?

It's a joke, right? There can't be a use for ape hangers off road. Right? right?!?!

I don't even want to talk about that thing. Look up inmate Skippii. It's his and he's quite proud of it.

hey, don't be knocking that moto...skippii rigged up a live PTO off the clutch side and there's usually a PTO powered blender packed somewhere on there...it's margaritaville when the sun goes down, except then he's prone to showing everyone in camp that the bike will wheelie.

i haven't seen that bike for awhile, the last time he had engine guards made from bent up scrap rebar.

Didn't take much for searching. Too bad most of the pics are dead on the build thread.

I imagine if I had a bike named "ThunderCunt" I'd be quite proud too!

Well, no bike yet but I have a set of WP forks from a KTM 690 SM/R on the way from the UK (ebay)

I sent an email off to Penske and they were quick to reply that they could in fact build one of their remote reservoir 3 way shocks with 25-30 mm more length and travel no problem. If my math is correct this will raise the rear about 63mm. I'll have to nail down the numbers when I actually get a bike to start playing with.

I tell ya what. I don't think I mind the way this bike looks naked at all. Clean up the tank. tuck in some wires. Add a headlight. Sounds easy, right?

Maybe a lil grinding on the tank brackets for the fairings? A bit of filler and paint or bedliner down there. Not bad at all! Maybe delete the coolant tank too!

Needs a longer swingarm. Seems the street oriented bikes have the rider positioned just in front of the rear wheel. Makes power slides a bit hairy:D

    Creeping featurism:evil

Lot simpler to add an extension like a few have done on the ex650s.

    Looks like I'll have a CB500f to work on:clap

I wonder if there's any chance that the larger tank of a Versys would fit. I may be reaching here but the design certainly appears to be similar.

I'm glad to hear that you're making progress Tony.

Forks showed up. They measure 33-3/4 so are about 4-3/4" longer than the stockers. Should be about right. WP 48mm, 8" of travel, adjustable comp & rebound dampening, single radial brake.
