Coming in 2011, to compete with the Bandit 1250 and CBF1000. Looks sharp, 130bhp, 228kg, full options list.

Is that what's on the cover of today's MCN?

They've got a New Top Secret Bike Leaked teaser up on their website, but being out of the UK I haven't seen this week's issue.

Haven't seen the photos yet - but the stock Z1000 gets a lot of good press. Could be a fun all rounder.

I really like the direction Kawi has taken with their recent bikes. Fresh design, quality components, make a big difference.

But I am quite excited by the idea of a Z1000S, basically a ZX10 with semi fairings & handlebar. Now if only they could go the Ducati route & provide an "S" version with Ohlins suspension & Brembo brakes. Then I dont need be a used parts vulture :rofl

I don't know myself. It seems a lot more sport bike-ish than a CBF1000 or a Bandit 1250 to me.

I would still like to see one up close and personal though :thumb

I just hope it's got that mental Kwak gene and it hasn't gone all sensible.

The engine has been getting rave reviews, certainly in S guise it should be a sports-tourer ahead of the Bandit and CBF's sports-tourer?

Hope they raise the MPG and increase the tank size from 3.x gallons.

Funny really - that this class of bike used to be called bargain basement parts bin specials - and now it seems to be the successor to old style sports tourers.
I did have a quick look at the feature in MCN, but what really widened my eyes was the news that Suzuki GB is closing 30% of it's dealers in 2011. They must have been hit bloody hard, so it's just good to see new products from any manufacturer.

It's my understanding that Suzuki would prefer solus dealers, ala Honda and Kawasaki. In a squeezed market, it doesn't do to have your competitors bikes on the same carpet.

My g/f works in a dealer that just lost the Suzuki franchise :cry
