For 10 bucks I'll sell the location.
Well, the ride, at least, is short and easy.
I feel like some of y'all must have photographic memories of everything within 150 miles of KC!
Okay ...Okay, take my $10 , I'm off tomorrow and have a new ride.
We are going to do a group tag tomorrow, Saturday the 2nd.
Those wishing to participate need to meet at Waffle House #203 at 8:45 am and buy my breakfast.
If someone gets the tag before tomorrow, I will buy my own breakfast.
And a good choice to approach from the east if coming by interstate since that's the only option at the nearest exit. Still, the nearby surface streets are fun, too.
Blue River Park
Group didn't show up?
Idk...that could be any road side water feature.
Paul showed and bought my breakfast. He wins a free dinner at the Falling Leaf Leatherman's Banquet.
Somebody better get that before it get torn down.
I actually know where one is for a change
Sticking with the "statue" theme here's a monument to a less violent character (unless you're a baby seal or a salmon).
This guy has been greeting northbound travelers for at least 30 years that I know of. I like him, reminds me of the polar bear statues at an ice cream stand where I grew up. His current owners have taking to decorating him in holiday appropriate costumes. Here he is shown in St Patrick's day garb. In 2016, that's how long it's been since I scored a tag.
I know where that one is.
Me too...after thinking wow, that could be a tough one to find. Then a memory from taking the kids to Louisburg Cider Mill hit me. Great afternoon for a ride. As mentioned, the bear statue observes north bound traffic on 69hwy between 179th and 199th.
Should have a new tag in the morning before I go to work on Labor Day.

Good job. Wish I knew the back story about it. It's been a curiosity to me since I moved to the area in 85.
