    Hi Everyone,

My name is Elijah and I am a fellow adv rider who recently completed an 8 month journey from California to Argentina on a KLR, which you can read about here. My trip to Argentina helped me realize how tedious and challenging riding can sometimes be. Forgetting to clean your helmet and trying to remember to lube the chain regularly is something every rider has to keep in mind and despite those drawbacks we continue riding and adventuring. However, some of the problems I came across seemed like they could be solved and could have made my 19,000 miles on the road a lot more enjoyable and comfortable.

With that said, I would like to step up and add value to our community by bringing innovative solutions that can make riding safer and more convenient. The first solution is what I call Kelias Visor Clear, an easy to use all-in-one visor cleaner, ready to spray and wipe your visor in one motion, while on-the-go.

    Kelias 3 side photo.jpg

    Benefits
    :

    1) All-in-one spray and wipe design allows for fast and easy one handed cleaning of visor.

    2) Magnetic handle bar mount eliminates need to remove gear and search for cleaning cloth and spray bottle.

    3) Specially designed microfiber sham traps dirt and prevents smearing of bugs and dirt.

    4) Microfiber sham attaches with Velcro and can be replaced to maintain best cleaning efficiency.

    5) Anti-pivot mechanism allows Visor Clear to remain in convenient grab position on handlebars.

The video below shows how it works:

The new patent pending Kelias Visor Clear is in the manufacturing stage and I have already started to receive requests for a Visor Clear from fellow riders. Since I will only have 200 units available on the first production run, I thought I would create an email list for first come first serve for anyone who would like to be the first to buy this product. Once you sign up on the email list below, I will email you when the product is ready for pre-order. The goal is to have every order shipped out before Christmas. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have.

Haha, I like it and sure others will also. Never seen anything like this before.

Interesting product and actually very useful. All in one, spray and wipe, and very compact too. Cleverly designed....:clap

I'll buy a couple and keep each on each bike.

Or...can I just buy mounts and put them on each bike? Move the spray/wiper to whichever bike that I will be riding.

Interesting. Any idea of the price point for the device and cloth refills?

IMG_5756.JPG IMG_5641.JPG I live in Northern CA and ride a 2011 Triumph Tiger 800XC. I had the opportunity to use Kelias Visor Clear and I can attest that this is in fact an awesome product. My previous solution to a dirty visor was lens wipes, but I found them very annoying. Often times they wouldn't have enough moisture and I would need to add water to the wipes in order to avoid scratching the visor. Adding water (from my water bottle) left an annoying residue. Additionally, I would end up bringing a whole bunch of them for a basic day ride. I also ended up with a bunch of lens wipe trash in my tank bag during my rides and at times I ran out of lens wipes. With Kelias Visor Clear you don't have to stop your ride after hitting that caterpillar or that swarm of nats/mosquitos. Cleaning my visor with Kelias Visor Clear is a breaze and I actually enjoyed doing it. The magnetting design is genius! Grab, spray, wipe, and go! That's it! No need to stop, remove gloves, and look for a lens wipe. The only problem for me now is that I had to return it because it was a borrowed unit. After using Kelias Visor Clear, going back to lens wipes is like going back to the Stone Age. After you use it, there is no going back. I am all in, sign me up!

I am glad you love it. You just gave me a great idea on selling the mounts separately so that you don't have to buy one for each bike. I love this community, input like yours will help me streamline things for everyone.

Still ironing out the details with the manufacturer and should have the price point soon for both.

Glad you like it. There will only be 200 units on first production run so don't wait to sign up for the pre-order email list.

I want to give my testimony as a tester of this clever device.

Elijah asked me if I would test his new product this past spring. I was worried that being in SoCal, there wouldn't be enough bugs to really test the unit thoroughly. Thanks to a really wet winter, there were PLENTY of bugs willing to participate in the test.

The unit has a very strong magnet that attaches to the bike and the spray unit has a very strong magnet to allow for secure fastening. I tested the unit on a BMW S1000R at speeds in the triple-digits and it stayed on. I wasn't able to give it a dirt bike test on the trails but I think it's more for long-haul and commuting.

Commuting a couple of weeks with it, I was able to put it through it paces. Using the unit while riding was not a hassle. The strong magnets help in placing the unit back on it's perch so you don't really need to look. It kind of snaps in place. It doesn't look out of place and you barely notice it unless you are looking for it.

I used the unit towards the end of hour-long commutes and the unit did a great job of cleaning the visor, increasing visibility. I also ran in to a few of those patches where you hit several thousand bugs at once. Though the bug juice was fresh, the Visor Clear did a great job of wiping the bugs off.

Not once did I need to replace the microfiber disc. Washing in the sink was good enough.

I am recommending the Visor Clear to those who are going to be on the bike for long stretches. Also if you live in a more tropical/bug-friendly environment, it's a must-have. (Florida and Houston come to mind.)

Good luck Elija! I'll be getting one for myself and my brother (who lives in Houston).

I would like to sign up but need an idea of what you are thinking the price point might be, and if you have got International (Canuckistan) shipping details figured out.

I am still negotiating with the manufacturer so I can't say, the goal is to keep it high quality at a reasonable price as I want everyone in our community to have one. With that said, you will see the price once the pre-orders are ready to be placed and can make your decision then. The goal is to ship to our Canadian friends as well and I have a few already subscribed to the list, so we will make it work.

The first prototype was built in Santiago, Chile while I was on my 8 month Latin America journey and I tested it all through Patagonia. I couldn't believe how well it worked!
