Finally figured out where I had to take my break or what I figured may have been my final resting place, top of the little hill at 58seconds

I have to admit that there was a bunch of stuff, that had I not known 100 bikes before me went through it, I would have never attempted. When I saw the "tar pits" snow run long section part 3 Video. My initial reaction was NoWay! I wouldnt biring my 4X4 quad through that. I also rode right over my largest diameter tree, my largest vertical rock face and it gave me the confidence to not quit on that Icy lubed up hill. Being in the back and realizing that every one else has done it and there are no burning bike carcasses can be a very good confidence builder. I chucked at a few parts of the youtube videos where the rider, who was a lot faster than me, got stuck at some spots that I remember just tractoring right over.

Practice, Exercise and just finish is my current mantra. Forks get shipped out this week for some tweaking. To be continued:D

So you don't get suprised at future events, know that there was nothing special about the course last weekend. Every NETRA enduro will have terrain at least as challanging.:D

Any sort of cardio/endurance exercise you can do will help you. Especially if you can work some wind sprints into it. Riding in the woods, for me at least, tends to involve bursts of energy. Like tacking a tough rock garden, or a big hill, or even picking up the bike after you've dropped it for the fifteenth time. :cry If you can push through those, and not get completely winded, you'll be faster.

And the rougher the terrain you find in your "normal" rides, the easier the stuff they throw at you in the enduro will seem.

I plan on doing upper body and cardio with some other stuff thrown in. Sadly I dont have much for riding anywhere local that even moderately compares to what I need to ride.
