Ditto. That is some very good news!
Health, happiness and a Merry Christmas to the both of you too!
Good to hear, keep pulling Kevin...
Thinking about you two, my Missoulan is home for the break
He'll head back around the 24th of Jan... About the time KHuddy will he
Itchin' to ride!
Happy holidays from my family to yours, Allyn
Outstanding news! Glad to hear it!
I can't even imagine what 35 rad treatments must be like but I'd guess it'd take a day or two just to recover your wits after each session. That's got to be a little tough for a guy that likes to keep his honed with a strop.
Good job of hanging in the scrap and I seriously hope that took a lot out of you... like, all of it. My best to you both during the recovery and I'll do my best to dial the good vibe sender up a notch.
Very glad to hear it, K&A.
Love and hugs to you both!
Happy New Year to all!
Kevin is slowly getting his voice back. He sounds like a good dirt road in Alaska at the moment, very gravelly.
Still hooked up to all kinds of tubes since he still cannot swallow anything, which allows the better living through chemistry delivery system to work well also. Like new tires on your bike, he is finally getting a grip on things, but is a bit squirrelly.
Hoping to spring him by mid-month(says he feels like a POW) or sooner if he can swallow real food.....like applesauce or jello.....beer may take a while longer!
Sunrise this morning was beautiful! Life is good,
Hugs to everyone,
Sunrises are best. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Good news, Annie! But you might tell him that there might have been an easier path to a sexy voice than the one he took.
Great to hear the sunrise(s) are looking brighter!!
What flow of words will come out when he can vocalize again.....and flow of tasty foods will pour the other way.
Hope Kevin is released to your healing care soon.
Have a great 2013!
More antibiotics, but he is working on it!
He even sounded like Kevin! He has a bunch more healing to do. When the swalowing thing starts working, he'll be heading home. With any luck the sage of wit late of Fairbanks, now from Helena will be back on line in a couple of weeks.
Thats great news, as one who spent around 12 weeks with a tracky in place, I know how great it is when they remove it at last and then give you a trial chew to see if you can swallow real food . I hope it happens soon for you Kevin, I'm sure Annie is looking forward to getting you home.
YO SPOUSAL UNIT...ANY NEW NEWS?
Hey there! It looks like Kevin will be coming home Thursday 1/24!
He is finishing a few more days of antibiotics, and will come home on an IV cocktail of
TPN and lipids as he still cannot swallow very much. The Doc says he may be on these nutritional
Fluids for a few months until everything heals. So on a fairly short leash for a while as we run back and forth to the hospital
Pharmacy for refreshments.
He is home!
Exhausting day for him, but he is home. Now just need to get him eating and healed!
Welcome Home Kevin...
Just that alone will make you feel better, nothing like a hospital to make a person feel awful. Congratulations, and hope you're back in the swing of things sooner than later.
This is great news!!
Hope the healing continues and he gets into shape for spring riding!
