    Hey Folks

Is there a posting policy here regarding Kickstarter.com links? I'm running a campaign there for a documentary that I think would be pretty relevant to folks here (adventure riding, art, music...) and would love the feedback if nothing else.

Any help as to wether or not and where I can post said link would be great!

    Thanks.

Yes, there is a policy. Kickstarter.com links are not allowed.

Does anyone know info about "the Fees" that Kickstarter may charge when a person "Donates/Pledges" $$$ for an item?? I was signing up to Pledge for a Vendor Book here and at the end there was a statement about Kickstarter has the right to charge a fee, blah, blah. I definately do not want to give any company my CC info and then, later on, they charge me for misc BS I did not want.....
I cancelled my pledge before it was completed......want info first hand.

And, contrary to what the pevious posts above say, there ARE Kickstarter links in the Vendor area. I don't have a problem with them.......if I don't want the item, I don't pledge......simple as that. :huh

    Vendors is different.

When you enter that forum, it is understood that people are trying to sell you something.

But, just like the FM, if you don't like a company's policy, don't buy from them.

Yes, there is the occasional kickstarter link in the Vendors forum and those are permitted on a case by case basis, but only if it's a relevant motorcycle related product and not "send me money so I can go on a ride and will post some kick-ass pictures for your enjoyment". (yes, this has been tried here, along with send me money so i can buy a bike to go on a cross country ride, :rolleyes -----> :ban)

From what I've read, it's 5% from the funds raised.
