You missed his SPOT tracker.
I almost mentioned it, but decided I didn't have the time to analyze the bike to the point where I mentioned everything.
From an IBR top 5 finisher. . ..
Check out the aux fuel tank on the queen seat. Hmmm extra range + empty case of Pepsi = dude's gotta pee real bad. No wonder he's not smiling
He might actually be peeing himself right there due to the sounds of grinding metal...
I call that E-Farkles.
Don't suppose that IBR had a run thru The Dragon??
there is always several bonuses at or around the dragon or nearby comunities and has been since the late 80's.that set up is tipocal of most bikes in the 11day 11,000 plus mile rally. for the last several years it has taken 14,000 or more miles to win the 11 day rally. route plannig and time management are the keys to a good finish in these events.the bikes are restricted to a 11.5 gallon fuel load and an auxillary fuel cell is a must. a competive iron butt bike is very simmilar to a dakar or baja racer set up for street rallys.this is one I rode in several rallys from 2005 to present day.
Why yes, yes it did.
A hi tec lean sensor only a few kawis have it... without it you need to stick your foot out... of course this 12yo is doing it wrong... fail!!!
That's probably more comfortable than it looks - except for the flagellation that would result from achieving any significant speed.
I'd love to ride one once, just for shits and grins - but I'm not sure I'd choose to take it through Deal's Gap
It's got the front brake of a honda c50 with about a bazillion times the weight
Look at the big ass disks on the rear wheels, that thing doesn't really need a front brake at all.
VW powered...no worries on the speed front.
I think I've seen that before.... wait, it's coming to me....

A fail to be sure - but that's 'The Snake' out in Cali
Which should always be worn on the rider and not mounted to the bike, ask me how I know......
I wonder if this was his dad's bike?<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/robertgrounds/6048629349/" title="Scooter Mirrors - Shugborough Hall Car Show by Rally Pix, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6073/6048629349_93dff941c2.jpg" width="415" height="500" alt="Scooter Mirrors - Shugborough Hall Car Show"></a>
