I was there last Friday afternoon and took some pics. Plenty of people failing at the dragon!

You don't have to sit and watch long before you don't really want to ride the road.

This thread achieves that notion for me. I hear there are equally good roads nearby less traveled. Put them on my bucket list if I ever get to the US. And am allowed in..

I was there on Friday afternoon, the 21st. I guess no fail pics of me! But here is something tho......I am being followed by Mr, Moto, who is not right up my ass but not way behind either, He is the only one behind me,so I am keeping my eye on him. Again, he is not right on my azz so I am not sure if he wants to pass or not. I am aware I am not going warp speed so I will indicate that he can go ahead.

I slow down and move to the far right glancing in my mirrors to see if he is going to make a move. Nothing.....nothing....then it,s switchback time and I move over slightly in my lane, more to center but away from the inside and away from the yellow.

THEN Mr.Moto makes his move and scares the pants off of me by passing me in the corner, when I wasn't expecting it and when I had decided that looking forward was a better idea at that time.

I was pissed. I guess I forgot to do ALL 3, move over, slow down AND wave him by......geeezzz.

Mr. moto is in this thread.......

i'm gonna go out on a limb. this guy ^^^, and his species of rider, i don't think we're gonna be bothered by them for much longer. i think they're gonna kill themselves off. the whole "street tires on a dirt bike and racing leathers" (and the inconsiderate, unsafe, asshole riding style they have) needs to stay on the track. they're right up there with the idiot pirate HD crowd and sportbike squid crowd. when i went to the dragon a few years ago, it was like every other bend had one of these supermoto asshats in the ditch. next time, keep your dirtbike in the dirt, with dirt tires on it. asses.

You really don't know what you're talking about, do you. There are riders who ride past their skill level on every kind of bike out there... A supermoto is not a "dirt bike" anymore than a Harley Sporster is a drag bike, and it's sure as heck a lot more forgiving of mistakes than a 800lb sled or a crotch rocket.
Those guys are up there to have fun, granted they could pick a better, less crowded road to do it on, but they're probably trying to get on Killboy's highlights, just like you would if you weren't from a flat state...

(Husky 630 rider here, but I don't cut people off and dive across lines. I do however pass rolling road blocks when it is safe, and, OMG!, put a leg out every once in a while in the tight stuff...)

Also, what percentage of the wrecks and fails in this threads are motards?

Awwww, did somebody get their paint peeled by a dirt bike? That dude is probably just stuck behind a train of bikes with FL plates that can't work a turn or a mirror. I promise not to bring my tard to FL, if you promise not to bring your whatever to the mountains of NC/TN.

NCHP. For the record, they are perfectly colored to blend in with asphalt and gravel. Sitting in a gravel pulloff, they just disappear.

Looks like an emitter below the lower left side LED for moving radar. So you might not be as fine as you think.
