Wow what a fu&k up that was. His insurance company is going to love him. I doubt your average paint shop would even try to match that CVO paint job. Everything would have to be special ordered from Harley. CHA-CHING

I caught that, and I didn't mean harley/cruiser etc tires, I was leaning more towards sportbike tires, you know, the guys that are actually USING the whole tire. I can tell you how soft and sticky the edges of a Michelin Pilot Power 2CT are...
And the contact patch on a bike runs much hotter than most auto street tires, as the contact pressure is higher on a bike.

I think they meant the thing on the BACK of the bike.

Sure they would. It's just paint.

Might be cheaper to order the parts from Harley though.

We were down in the area over the weekend. We didn't ride the Dragon (been there, done that) this trip, but we did ride 129 into the Gap to grab 28 and make the Moonshiner 28 run.

As we were on 129 heading towards the Gap, we came up on a dude on a sport bike that was, without a doubt, one of the shittiest riders I have ever seen. Granted I'm not the smoothest guy out there, nor the fastest, but holy crapola was this guy a shitty rider - body position was wrong in every way for it to be wrong, dunno where the hell he was looking, etc...

We were all 2-up on FJRs. No way we shoulda caught him.

Anyway, the wife and I were talking about this thread - I was sure you guys woulda pounced all over him.

This was on Saturday, 9/22, in the afternoon. Dude was on some kind of black / flat-black sports-ish bike, wearing a black jacket, and shoes with white socks.
