Reaching inside the truck for something? a biker bandit perhaps?
Same curve as the Triumph/Corvette crash a few weeks ago, but I'm pretty sure this pic is much older.
Which way is forward ?
Interesting steering and anti-brake-wrap linkage and single shock turnbuckle. Guess that makes ride height adjustment easy...
Yeah this is from a series of the crash posted May 2009 but clearly is mid Sept or so if you notice the tree color. So maybe 2008
I'd hate for my shirt tail to get under a rear fender...
I am still trying to figure out the seat on the black one. mounted protective cup??
new line from Sargent, the Jagger seat
The helmets and shields are at least as old as the bikes....
the back of the bike must of fell. or they guy just cut it off.
These guys are local to me:
looks like a catchers mitt for a seat. yikes.
Looks like a good trip.. Was the blue one messed up much?
He cut it off. On purpose if you can believe it!
There's a whole build thread on DTT where people kept telling him that his frame was going to break. I guess it's holding up so far.
No idea. I mostly just looked at the pictures.
Tires might be as old too? Do they still make those tread patterns? Looks like one is an old Dunlop K70 and the other is an old Pirelli?
They still make K70's, in 19 and 18 inch sizes, and they are not bad dual sport tires.
Dunlop also makes new K81s (TT100). They use modern rubber now, and they're a lot better than the old ones. The old Trials Universal was a better dual sport tire than the K70.
There are companies making new 3/4 helmets and bubble visors, although I don't know why in the hell anyone would actually ride in one.
