Guessing by the driver's hat, it's a John Deere E-type.

FYI I came thru Thanksgiving weekend and no Killboy nor US129 nor Moonshine or any photographers.
Didn't stop and snap a pic, but lots of new signs saying NO STOPPING ON GRASSY SHOULDER FOR PHOTOS
Actually, I guess stopping to snap a pic of the no stopping sign would be DISOBEYING the signs :dunno

Gotta disagree here. Plenty of squids here that wear gear because that's what the racers wear. You can usually spot them on hot days with the jacket unzipped to about the navel.

Nope. Squids don't wear gear. Maybe a jacket and full face if it's cold outside, but otherwise nope. 90% of the time, no gear on a sportbike = squid. That guy looks like he is following someone painfully slow (perhaps that chap with the fringe jacket?) and is smart enough to know that passing on the wrong side of a solid line on a road with blind corners is a bad idea. He certainly does not look like he is trying to ride quickly.

A squid would have his knee stuck way out, his head and shoulders on the outside of the turn, and the bike hardly leaned over.

going to disagree with your disagree. most wear zero gear and at most a leather jacket/gloves/helmet. maybe your definition of a 'squid' is different

Squids are called that because their riding looks like a school of startled immature squid

Lightning fast in a straight line
    Almost stop to turn

That's a backronym. In any case, look for the 'squid purity test', which has been online since at least the mid-90s. It has good examples of gear and behavior of the common squidus maximus.

Of course, HST's "sausage creature" is required reading for the genre.
