The yellow b*#@& backfired and blew off the injector boot. Bin there, done that before! Virginia and I continued on and....oh, by the way. The 5th line near Mansfield Ski Club is a NO EXIT. It was all I could do to get that puppy back to the top. Thanks for walking out Virg!! Awesome meeting new friends. :thumb

Nice riding with y'all. We waited a the end of the road and John let us know that you had it in hand. :thumb. Looks like we both had minor issues today.

Glad the Buell make it home safe on that giant flatbed - impressed with CAA, may have to donate to them in the future. It was great seeing everyone, looking forward to Fall Colors in a few weeks. Brent

Have you modified the tensioner wheel to reduce the running tension. :dunno
Very easy to do: Using a suitable rat tail file, elongate the front most of the two mounting holes.

Lowers the belt's operating tension and helps it to shift better, too.

Yes, I have the fancy sprung tensioner, but these things are know to break sometimes. Yours has broken at least once while Pete had had it.

Chains wear out too, if I had a my spare with me it would have been maybe 20 minutes on the side of the road.

The driver was actually pretty cool. Used to ride and now has old cars...a '76 Monte Carlo and a Torino convertible...forget the year. ...and is trying to sell a mint '93 F250 with a 460 and a 4 speed that I find very tempting...but will resist.......

Glad CAA was as efficient as they were!

The ride home was uneventful, with more scenic gravel roads and a relaxed pace. Looking forward to the next ride!

I'm from Fergus, but would love to meet up for a ride.

I've got a Husky TE610, so dirt is welcomed.

As it turns out, Tue - Thu that week is taken for me, so if people haven't made plans, I'll make it official - Mon Sept 23 at 7 PM.

If you've already made plans to come out on Tue, speak up :deal and the date can remain Tue - I'm fine either way. :1drink

    Hi All,

Don't mean to hijack this thread but couldn't find a London specific thread. I just moved to London (Dorchester) from Ottawa area.

I'm wondering if anyone has, or knows of, someone local with a BMW 800GS. I am planning a trip next season and I want to know if a GS 800 will fit in my trailer horizontally. I see the length is 90 inches but the wheelbase is 62".

I can fit a 690 with a 60" wheelbase but I want to test an 800GS to be sure.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks,
    D
