What interest's me is the ReKluse. How do you like it? Does it affect MPG's or performance up or down? How much do they cost?

I love it, won't have bike without one again
Didn't notice any MPG change, I wouldn't think you would see one. It's engage as much as a stock clutch.

    Much better performance up hill,
Look at some of them other you-tube video and you can see performance up and down hills. jwolf55

The bike runs cooler off road I guess I slipped my clutch too much manually.

cost a lot for a KLR right at $600

How is the muffy for weight? I don't really want much more noise, nor do I want to stuff a new tampax in the thing every 500 miles either. I am interested in shedding some weight in place of the O.E.M. muffler.

    Thanks

I killed Tweedy long ago with a screwdriver and hammer.

Performance maybe at the low end or maybe its just that it sound neater and make you feel like your gong faster.
They say up to 4 horsepower

    I got mine on Ebay

I found them on the web but they were $10 higher.

It is louder at an idle but not much louder at higher RPMs than stock.

I think it said it was 3.5 LB lighter.

Don't know how long the packing last haven't had it that long.
Last one I had I packed with the stainless steel pack and never replaced it again as long as i owned the bike.

I found cheaper pipes on Ebay (like SG O)but all of them had bad reviews on the web I didn't find any bad ones about the Lexx.

Does it have a cutout for the brake caliper at full compression? Take a looksie and tell us whether you think it will dent. My FMF Q-series did.

I'll look but the pipe is pretty far up to hit.

Doesn't look like it can hit, the muffler is 8.5 inches above the caliper when the bike is setting on the suspension and I think the KLR only has 7 inch travel and I would guess it has at least 1-2 inches compression setting on the ground.
When the weather improves I will try it out.

I have stock jetting but I have done the carb mod including drilling the slide, shimming the needle and drilling out the EPA plug, and setting the low idle needle to 1.75 turns out.
It is not back firing at all so I don't think it is too lean.

Now that you've had it installed a while, would you care to report back if you're still happy with the Lexx, how it's holding up, etc.

And after all, loud pipes DO save lives!

    :D

    ----------

Please, no explanation/justification/refutation; I jest! Enjoy your sonorous, melifulous exhaust note in good health.

The stock Briggs & Stratton-reminiscent sound's o.k. with me; glad you found what you like.
