Geo, Washington National Forest near Luray, VA...good weather, a clearing, a camping hammock (aka: a bear taco) and a KLR...only needed a nice fish...but alas, no bites on my range of flys on the nearby Shenandoah River.
especially around Lansing, MI
Yesterday, i rode the "Ride for Kids" dual sport ride, started and finished at Glen Helen raceway in Devore, CA.
Only saw one other first generation KLR on the ride.
This was taken at the top of Baldy Mesa in San Bernardino county, that is Mount Baldy in the distance...
Just had my bike inspected this past Wednesday by the CHP to verify the VIN change after I replaced the broken frame. First longer (190 mile) ride after the wrenching, ran great.
Here she is on the dirt road that goes under the 15 freeway in the Cajon Pass. Note the traffic on the highway. :huh

Last Saturday, my KLR and I had a play date at a local OHV park. Conditions were near perfect. Trails were dry with the exception of the occasional mud puddle.
As a fitting ending to a great morning of trails, I turned over 10,000 miles on my left over 09 I purchased in the spring of 2010. I know I am not setting any records, but it is nice that all those miles are from me.
My buddy and I on our way to find FM 4 S in Palo Pinto. We ended up passing it by 40 to 50 miles due to my excellent navigation skills, but it was still fun!

What windshield bracket is that? How well does it work? Does it get the air up over your head? How tall are you?
I need something better than stock. Ive tried the kawi tall and a laminar lip, but gave up on those due to the buffeting.

Can I play too? Just brought this little guy home last night, so excited. Been from a KZ440 to a Super Sherpa and now on to the KLR 650.
2002, 10,500 miles. No farkles, some scratches/dings.
