What camera did you use for these pictures please? While they don't look like HDR images, the dynamic range of the pictures is high. :)

    Nice pics!

Wow, that black 2012 with black jesses sure looks sweet !!! Personally, I would lose the trunk though, and strap down a waterproof duffel or sea to summit bag .
As far as weight on the front you could install a 10 gallon ims tank and keep it full.
Also, playing with your suspension settings as in spring preload and ride height should help.
I will bet you need alot stiffer spring on the rear with the loads you are running.
Check your sag settings front and rear and compare to spec.

Thanks Mark! I am looking forward to lots of rides with you. I really hope you can make the rally next weekend, it'll be a hoot, plus you'll get to meet a bunch more inmates....:freaky

I have no idea how much all the bags and the stuff inside weight but I am guessing a lot since it makes you feel at least uncomfortable, I had once 45 L side and 52 L top boxes full with to much weight, but they are all givis and weight less than the jessies. So you have to transfer some of the weight to the front. See the pics with bags on the front, start with a tank bag, then add bags you can put on the crash bars and take heavy stuff forward. Also a don't fill ALL THE WAY the bags, specially the top box, I know we want to bring the kitchen sink and everything possible, but bikes are not design to carry 1-2 tons of crap!

Since my 2007 trip I always carry less and less, and I hope to continue learning

I put a 500lb rear spring on mine and change the fork spacers to 12 1/8 long. Feels great. I have alum panniers and a T-box. Much more stable to me.

1 Year ago today I brought this 2007 KLR home. Since then I have traveled 5820 miles of pavement, dirt, mud and snow with this mule. I added a few extra Farkles to make it one fine ride and made quite a few new friends along the way. Live Free and Ride!
