I have a 2003 KDX that needs a tail rack. I was told that the KLX650 rack can fit the KDX based on having similar frames. Is this true?

The rack from a C-model is what might work. I just looked at a 03' kdx200 frame on flea-bay and the rear cross brace is not threaded. The rack on my 94' C threads into the cross brace and two threaded tabs forward on the frame.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheer's,
    Tom.

My bike fired into life today no probs. Bit slow winding over with no KACR and high compression.

    Sounds cranky.

I have a hole in my Acerbis tank. I did the dual sport ride at the Desert 100 in Odessa, WA last weekend and near the end of the ride I noticed a smell of gas. After looking around a bit, I found there is a tiny tear in the tank where the left side wing meets up with the larger main part of the tank. Bummer! :cry It looks like it was caused by the tank flexing over time.

    Here are some pictures.

    As I see this,................klx650C tank

I think your tank has there a production failure.
I see there a dent, lack of material to thin. Not so smooth like mine.
Looks like the material has some clone in it, is not homogeneous,

Compare it with the other wing.

Yours, this tank is not so old, how old?

Send these two picssets to where you buy it, and ask.
for warranty,?????? this goes beyond the fabric warranty that is given from the producer to the seller, consumers may expect more.

I have had it for quite a while. I bought it with this group buy started back in 2007.

I think I am going to let the next owner of my bike sort it out. The KLX650C is going up for sale soon with the stock tank. :cry I will give the new owner the big tank and let them do as they wish with it (repair, try to send back, etc.).

Anyone interested in a 1995 KLX650C with the stock fuel tank and a ton of spare parts? I will post up a link to the ad once I get the bike all ready for sale and have some pictures posted.

    Hi Guy's,
I am new to the Green side of life, but that changed at the beginning of the year when I got my hands on a 93' KLX650C. I have slowly been sorting it out and have had a bit of trouble with the front brake. I have put new pistons and seals in the caliper and rebuilt the master cylinder. But I just cannot get enough pressure to push the fluid through the system. Is there a trick to the seals in the m/c ? Everything seems to be OK, I have not replaced the brake line yet. I am now going to look for one of those reverse bleeders, where you push the fluid up from the caliper. Any suggestions would be welcome, there seems to be a whole wealth of knowledge on this thread. I have yet to ride the bike, but everybody tells me that it will give my KTM640 a run for it's money.
    Cheers Mark.

At the bottom of the expansion tank has a flower-shaped cuff that prevents fluid flow. Press down on it.
Also, remove the master cylinder and rotate it to the all air is evacuated out.
But better is to fill the system from the bottom (through the caliper bleeder valve). Take a thin tube and a plastic can with a spout.

hey guys, i've been cleaning up the garage, and have a few leftover KLX650C parts. if anyone is interested, let me know. i put the first 2 on flebay.

    1. left radiator, great shape, no leaks or bends
    2. radiator cooling fan, works perfect, great shape
    3. forks with upper and lower clamps.

i also have various motor mount bolts etc.
