They are KYB forks used in 92-96 era KX 125/250/500 2 stroke dirt bikes. Have adjustment for compression and rebound. The stock forks don't.

They were used on much lighter bikes, so unless sprung for weight and revalved, they probably need work.

Great fairing, FOGO. I would be interested in one of them if you mould and copy some!
I am on a klx650r rally build too, but have no idea about what to do with the fairing. I was looking on dual headlights like the buell's mod, but i'll wait for some other ideas

Yeah. the plan is to cut and shut and grind and bog until it fits over the KLX650R Acerbis tank and then make a mould of it.

Just a quick note here regarding whether or not a KLX650 footpeg mount (right side) will work on a KLX250. It will - bolts right on. More info over on the KLX250s Long Term Review thread. But here's what it looks like:

Going to visit my friends at the local dealership and get some replacement clutch/throttle cables, I've tried cleaning the ones I got with it but even after the oil cleared up on the throttle cables they still didn't actuate as smooth as I'd like and the clutch cable looked like some one let it rub on the exhaust.

Is the muffler from a KLX650R (dirt version) a direct bolt on to a KLX650C (dual sport)??

    If so I want one.

I'm looking at the various places selling the Pro Circuit muffler. A Few say KLX650 Most say KLX650R fitment.

Can all those with a KLX650C (electric start) and a Pro Circuit muffler chime in that it's a direct bolt on?

    Pro circuit model # 4K93650

    Much thanks.

Well, fun times, my KLX has bad rings, Finally got the wiring sorted to do a compression test dry(cold) it was reading at 30psi and wet 60psi.

Time to yank the motor out and see what can be sorted. :(

Did you disable the auto compression release?
