I'd like some info on horsepower, torque, and weight of KLX, and KLRs. I can't seem to find it on this or other sites. I'm hoping for real info verified by someone who's actually checked it out, not the lies the factory tells. KTM is the only manufacturer that tells the truth about that stuff. Honda told me my XR 600s were 271 lbs dry, what a crock! With no gas, mine weighed 291. Maybe they put helium in the tires?
Love that fender--what brand is it? Did it bolt right up??
This bike is sold
its a stock 1993 klx650c rear fender in black minus the ugly factory extension.
I just posted a bunch of NEW maintenance parts over in the flea Market. No, I'm not selling my ride, but this stuff no longer fits it due to remodeling!
Fork stuff, cables, wheel bearings
KLX650R for sale here in SF. (not my bike)
Dr. Lost, how much did it sell for? Mine has less then 10k and is in great condition with all required items repaired/replaced. I've been looking at early to mid 90's ZX-6's and ZX-7's. I'd like to keep the KLX and get another bike to keep her company.
Hi All, Not trying to spam, just cleaning out the shed. I have a KLX650 Kawasaki workshop manual for sale. It covers the KLX650 A and C. This is the non electric start and electric start models. Loved the bike, but have bought a Tenere for the extra bling value.
Manual is used, but in very good condition. Few finger prints only. PM me if anyone is interested.
CuriousGeorge bought her for $1,500 for his son to ride. I hope he is happy with it, I know I really enjoyed that machine.
PM sent on manual.
I have to install handgaurds, tooltube and aluminum chain gaurd. I have about a hundred klicks on the fresh motor. 102mm bore, fresh valves and chains. suspension is now kickass courtesy Mr ohlins and Mr racetech.
Anybody can tell how good actually are these klx650 bikes?
major problems etc..?
Stunning! one of the trickest, wag this SOB in front of some Kawasaki exec's etc... better yet in front of honda, suzuki VIPS , tell its a 08' prototype, let em get real nervous.
was it a pain to mount the ohlins w/ the res.?
the biggest problem is that they arent made anymore. take a KLR, add better suspension, brakes, frame ( =handling) , excellent part availablilty, cheap to buy...... biggest issue for me was small tank ( I'm in on the 5 gal purchase, so that solved) and a seat that could use improvement, working on that. there is some reports of a cam chain issue or something like that, I am l looking in to that.
Well i just picked up a 93 650R last weekend. Working on getting it street legal right now.
