How did that work out getting them to pay the filter change?

High beam switch is a common problem.
Dealer needs to replace the switch.

My MTC/ABS failed,AT the ktm dealer, did make for some fun wheelies and back end sliding into the corners...brought back my racing days...but no fault logged so they did nothing and told me no problem.:freaky

I can understand why the dealer told you no problems... The symptoms you describe above have absolutely nothing to do with either one of those systems. :hmmmmm

    Good one.

Get my first chance to ride the 1190 after it was in for warranty claims yet again 4wks ago, today put the new battery ktm fitted on charge as the bike turns so slow still and I noticed, both my seat tabs that hook into the tank are torn almost broken off....looking at it I see why, yet another crap design.:eek1

Seems that the seat 'floats' on these tabs and when you sit it spreads our the seat thus pulling on the tabs...I'm only 92kg so wtf...:huh

Put in a claim with KTM so we will see.

(Update - KTM will replace the seat even thou it's out of the 6month warranty period for "PowerParts"...yet I've done around 3000km on that seat so....it's being replaced this week.)

Tossed the KTMS keys and back to work I go again, bike can stand a few more weeks till KTM fix their shyte.....yet again.

I am having some oil leaks at the rear part of the back cylinder. Seams it starts at the ventilation hose connecting to the outlet. The dealer changed to a tighter clamp that holds the hose but the isuue is still there.
And now at 14 000 kms the igntion key became very hard to turn. It is a bit easier to turn it clockwise. But in the counter direction, especially to lock the stering - its a ton of force that is needed.. :eek1

    Any thoughts?

Going 70+mph on paved road. Gas low but still one bar left. Pulled bike to side. Bike would start. Go 10 feet and die. Did this 3 times. I was hot. Worried. Got off bike with bike not running. Fucking dropped bike on its side. Got the fucker up. Bike then ran fine 3 miles to gas station. Filled up. Rode for 2 hours more off road. All good. WTF?? Ideas please!! Thanks!! HW.

Have you had the gas tank off recently? Perhaps you forgot to open the crossover valves on the bottom of the tank? That may cause your problem....

Or pinched the vent hose just by riding and bouncing around, then when you dropped it, it vented and equalized the pressure letting fuel flow. Low fuel, hot motor, created increase vapor and pressure combined with a slight pinch in the line.....it's my guess

I just ordered the Rott Stage 3......getting rid of bunch of that mess under the tank and reducing the hoses.

Did they just release them? How much $$$ ??

My unifilter has been performing perfectly but I would consider trying the proven Rottweiler solution. :ear

Is is normal to see a oil pool above the intake valves, just refitted and greased my new uni filter and noticed the oil. Have done 3800km of tar riding and still found dust on the velocity stacks.

Had same issue for a month. Bike run fine then after a 20 min ride and a quick errand acted like it was out of gas. Run for 10-30 sec then stall like no gas.

Been in shop. Month so far they did a ECU update, checked the fuel pump and I'm told filters but they don't know why it's dong it. Sucks now have 0 confidence to ride very far.

I'm trying to get anyone at factory to help before I go by. Duc or BMW...
