I found an extrenal fuel pump that I'll be able to use as a back up if the intank pump quits but since I've revamped my 690, I can have the tank off in 10 minutes and have the pump R and R done in 30 minutes maximum.

Do you have a plexiglass cover over your headlights? If indeed, I assume it is not part of the present kit?

BTW, I've send you a PM on a sort of related matter - it relates to the EVO 2 kit..

I dont think one would work.
I think a nice wire mesh screen could be made and work great.
Tha is what I am going to try.

Do you have any pictures of the tank/shroud combinations on a 690 with white fenders? Or is that too much to ask?

Black and White mostly. My 690 is white and I'm just wondering what it would look like with white, black or a combo of each. Thanks. It's not a big deal if you don't have any pictures of them on a white bike. Thanks.

I was wondering the same. I have a 2012 and wanted to see what the color combos looked like. I'm leaning towards the black tank with orange shrouds or vice versa.

Thanks John. Beanie's race bike appears to have a cover over the light. Was trying to connect the dots.

You can find lots of usefull infos for fuel pumps googling "Gerotor Fuel Pump" and "Turbine Fuel Pump". Gives far better hits than "fuel pump" alone.

How durable are the tanks and fairing?
I tend to, er, inspect the geology every now and then and I'd hate to leave pieces around when I get up. :D

There are some pics of different colour combinations of tanks / shrouds on pages 8 and 9 of this thread.

I saw them. That isn't a 2012 though. It has orange fenders. I was curious what the color combos looked like on a 2012. ;)
