The stock KTM 690 plastic chain guard is just that.... plastic. If the chain fails or debris gets stuffed into the counter shaft sprocket area, there is a very good chance that the clutch slave cylinder is going to die a horrible death.

This billet guard is a ADVmachines.com exclusive part, Designed and Manufactured in Texas USA by a high precision machine shop utilizing CNC machining from aircraft grade 6061-T651 aluminum billet. Anodized by one of the few shops that can get KTM orange right! This part easily out performs other versions built by other manufacturers. Color options are Orange and Black. $140 USD plus shipping

To this with two bolts and about 5 minutes of work. It takes longer to unpack the part and go get the 8mm and 10mm sockets
