Reverse gears are totally race-spec (tm), in case you missed that :lol3

Do they actually make that? What a good way to fuck up muscle memory learning.

790 super duke “unrivaled” electronics package, which includes ride by wire, quickshifter, traction control, Motor Slip Regulation, and Super Berm Buster, sorry I added that one

I'm totally fine with ktm's build choices, rep at L.A. bike show said adv, fall 2018. fingers crossed.....

That is a sweet pic of that Duke! Lots o R&D, technology, and the structural member engine case is sweet!

If they add cruise to the adventure, that seals the deal for me.

Well, it's either that or fucking up your foot trying to fit it under the gear shifter while the bike is leaned over.

On an "adventure" bike, I'd trade all that fancy tech for a hydro clutch...

I think they should put the rear brake on the left side and the gear shift on the right side like the old british bikes for us old cogers.

Old Dukes 750 Sport had 1 up 4 down from memory. So not just ol British stuff. But I could be wrong. I've had just about all configurations.
Currant Tuono has bolt on gear linkages to give race pattern. Does test the brain !

I'm liking the 790 from what I've seen. I do hope suspension is not cheeped out. Not sure if rear shock position gives enough travel.

This is a nice example of what the 790 will be capable of.

Race and track bikes use 1 up 5 down to make shifting "up" while accelerating, turning, or just in a full tuck easier.

Thinking about naming my bike after a fine piece of equipment like this one!

    Dirt + Harley!

    "Darley!"

With one simple name, I can piss off EVERYBODY at once! What more could you really hope for?!?

I could never got on with race patterns. I tried it for about 3 rounds and swapped my road bike over to get used to it. ended up just going back to a road pattern. obvs YMMV

You know if I didn't know better I wouldn't even know this form is about the KTM 790,most of the time!!! 20170904_145815.jpg I think it'd be about a bunch of old ladies bitching about their garbage and there grocery Getters, instead talking about the bike laughing my ass off.... no offense, and no offense taken,, ride what you got like you stole it!!!!
