If the main tanks' fuel level is above the aux tank's level, won't the fuel seek it's own level and fill the aux tank's vent line to the level of the main tanks? I am not familiar with fuel tank venting requirements, but wouldn't a vent line full of fuel present a potential problem? Is an air gap required?
BTW - Great idea & appealing design
you can use a one way valve on the vent. get a used on from the junk yard off a old car for testing. just my 0.02
Ill have one thanks , would like to use it for water storage .
some progress... the form in 3D:
in about a week or two the form will be billet by CNC machine
that's really sweet
Very cool to be able to do stuff like this. How many litres do you think it will hold?
The model is saying 8,3 liters, but reality will be one liter less as there will be some air pockets...
This is looking better and better. I will likely chuck my ABS and mount this up when it becomes available.
Haha I just had to say that to be a dick.
Any chance of being able to make provisions for ABS ???
Maybe as easy as shorten the tank although not sure how much cap would be lost to cost & value ?
Or even make a pocket for the ABS pump ?
Xfingers pls. so that this one for NO-ABS models works well and when the investment returns back, I will invest into the solution for models with ABS. I have already some idea But timewise - Christmas if all goes well with this one...
Christmas in July!!!!!
Sweet I'll be lurkin
press on Rade! we're waiting!
I know you've been working on the wind shield, but any more progress on the tank
I had hard time to find the CNC/"milling house" to do the aluminium form acceptable costs and timing. Now I have found one and in two weeks the form should be ready. Than "only" adding the brackets around the form and production trial can start. Estimated in 4 - 5 weeks...
