Dirkoff, those protectors are kevlar and were hand made by a member that use to be on this board. He went by "Bigtwin". No one has heard from him in a while it seems. He made tank guards for many here and even did some other hand laid guards and windshields as I recall. From what I understand they are much thicker and seem to be tougher than the carbon fiber offerings. I can tell you they work well.

    Yo Greg! How's the leg?

I've said it before and all say it again; I sure love the 950 with a full set of nobbs (#1 desert). Throw in the origianal high suspention, and you have the best 950 ever made (My GO!!!!!!!!!! bike included:D ).

The altitude, it did read higher at first but drops down and settles after a minute.

Where's that then - I'm (probably) down that way (Italy / French Alps) next year, and that'd be one to tick off the list!

I'm looking at doing the www.centopassi.com route - not part of their event, but just hi jacking all their planning work :D

Mark, its the Col de Somellier near Bardonechia in Italy. Its the site of the Stella Alpina rally. Its a dead end trail but dead easy to do, nothing difficult but very scenic. Well worth the ride up. Gets very busy at weekends so midweek is better.

    Enjoy

I think there was a higher one in the Pyrenees but AFAIK it has now been closed to vehicles, so yes it is.
