    Hi,
I've moved since I bought my '09 990 so not sure if I'll get the notification. Can someone scan and post a copy, or quote the range of VIN numbers?

    Thanks
    Ken

Just renewed my 09 450 no problem. Will get the new sticker just in case. Nice to know you can get clean air from a sticker, must be the glue:rofl

I'm going with if you renew this year, it's going to be fine since you get time to have the recall done. If there's going to be an issue, it's gonna be next year. Or the year after-or any time you decide to "purge" and get rid of the paperwork :lol3

Went to register my 09 530 today, DMV will not give me a new sticker without verification letter from Dealer. Dealer closed today of course, will call the dealer hours away tomorrow to see what happens.

I got the renewal a few months ago and it didn't mention the recall or ask for documentation but the tags never showed up in the mail. Found out today the tags were on hold pending submission of recall completion. Off to the DMV:puke1 tomorrow with my dealer provided documentation.

I just bought my 530 the other day off of a friend and when I went to the (CA) dmv today to do the transfer, she told me I couldn't get the new registration sticker until the "emissions recall" was completed. I went into full on panic mode and high tailed it over to Motoworld and asked the dude in service what the deal was. He laughed and told me it was just a sticker under the tank and they don't inspect anything. So I went home, grabbed the bike, took it down to them and in 25 minutes I was back at the DMV with the verification form. Luckily my farm boy charm worked on the dmv reception/screener lady and she put me right at the front of the que and I had my new sticker and was on my way in about 5 minutes. :clap

Shoot. I just ripped all of the CARB crap off my Husky 310. Is that going to get me in trouble? Or are they just targeting bigger bikes? No more modding new bikes?

Its funny my te 310 seemed super under powered, and then a person (not going to say who) told me to take the throttle stop out etc and now its better. Still not a 450. Also there was some plastic Catalytic Coverter looking thing that was attached to the gas tank vent hose. That got tossed as well.

I live in the suck hole that is now California and I just finished a the emissions sticker "recall". It was all smoke and mirrors, the dealer could have cared less. It was 20 minutes of my life that I'll never get back, but it was painless none the less. Initially I was concerned about my after market pipes and a PCV, they could care less...

Ugh. I just noticed on my DMV renewal notice that I must provide Proof of Correction for KTM manufacturer recall #TB1204 along with fees in order to receive new tags. Guess I'll call Motor Café tomorrow to see what's involved. I definitely do not want them removing my crashbars and tanks to replace a sticker, hopefully they'll just stick it on and I can be on my way. Will update this thread after I get it done.

I bought a 2009 Super Enduro from a bimmer dealership in Long Beach and after almost 3 weeks of owning it got a call stating registration denied due to recall...long sory...contacted a San Diego KTM dealership awaited the sticker and signed certicicate and presently waiting from DMV for my tags that expire end of this month. As it stands can't remove the smog crap till im certain im registered and California DMV is satisfied...

The sticker goes under the tanks. I had to wait while they ordered one for my 530-so call them so they can get the correct sticker or maybe call Scuderia and ask if they still have the one for your bike.

Yeah, I'm definitely calling first. No way I'm pulling bars and tanks for this ridiculous CARB dog and pony show. Will try Motor Café first and if they don't make it painless, will give Scuderia a call.

Takes about an hour to do (not really, but that's what they'll tell you).

They had to order the correct sticker for the 530. I don't remember how long it took but it wasn't too long.

I got a notice from DMV and had to get a certificate of completion for emissions recall from my local KTM dealer that gave me the sticker. No inspection by DMV.
