PM'd with a question - thanks!
The 280mm mirrors make excellent V-strom mirrors!
They're surprisingly stable and clear for such long mirrors. I see slight vibration where there is a rough spot in the power at just over 3000 rpm. And, as expected, they can't be absolutely clear when off-road. The visibility is perfect for me though. I have them set to see about a lane and a half to either side and also slightly behind me.
Edit: Had to add that Henri (hb7) gets a big thumbs up from me for his service and speed!
Thanks Henri -
Wow, that was fast.
Great service !
Hello I bought some for my Transalp not to long ago they are great!
Do you have any that will fit the HP2?
Adv riders get respect here at Motoscience.
KTM folding mirrors are better than stock or return them.
I have had the mirrors for about 2 week now. Nice fit and finish, I like the lower profile vs. the stock Mikey Mouse Ears. Smooth and clear at speed and the foldability will save me $ since I can't my bike upright all the time....Thanks
Thanks...I try to bring something better to the motorcycle trade.
I went down last month and I didn't break my right mirror.....
Grease the elbow, only light snug on allen for smoother rachet action and fold away.
I am the ginzu knife of LA traffic splitting when I fold my mirrors in....
Traffic splitting is a drug....
Got the mirrors, + Loctite a couple days ago. Installed and tested = work as advertised. Thanks much.
Happy new year in Korea.....Bj. Thanks !
I have the mirrors you sent... Thanks!!!
Anyone have a pic of the R1200GS mirrors shown here and/or a review?
Ultimate GS folding (Sold out) until march. The KTM folding are in stock.
I suggest 280mm Bar mounts or 280mm with the 10mmx1.25mm threaded mounts for the GS if you don't take it off road much.
If you want to return it I'll refund the purchase price....
All the best,
What's the consensus for which length is best for use on a 990 Adventure? I assume that the longer ones give better visibility past the shoulders but may be a wee bit buzzier, while the shorter ones might give a clearer view of elbows. Or, maybe the shorter ones are plenty long?
You can see the longer ones on my V-strom at the bottom of page 3 to judge their size. I have the shorter ones on my KTM 625SXC. The only time the long ones vibrate is when I'm accelerating through the rough spot of power around 3k rpm or when the terrain gets so bad that everything is vibrating. I haven't noticed the short ones getting vibey, but I don't pay much attention to them off-road (usually have them folded in). On the road they're stable all the time. I'm running Pirelli MT-21's too, so basically a full knobby tire.
You must know somebody at the post office. The mirrors arrived today. Very nice.
Got mine today Henri. Very satisfied with the whole transaction.
I ship out everyday. Priority mail delivers......+1 for USPS.
Thank you....for trying them out.
All the best,
